Washington Park Boathouse — Attraction in Denver

DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE! It's very beautiful, and it seems like a good deal but it's really not. With all the extra rules, permits, and requirements your better off going with a venue. When we originally booked our wedding, they said we could have the space from 9 am to 11pm. So we schedule our wedding for 4pm, and some morning drop offs of rental equipment. Days before the wedding they tell us that we can't come until 2pm... because we only have an evening permit. When we tried to call and by the day time permit last minute we were told youre only allowed 1 permit per day. So basically the times we were promised were not even possible. We had to reschedule venders and set up at 2 pm in a huge hurry. So unprofessional . They will also make you clean up like crazy to avoid fees even though it wasn't even cleaned for us...

Me and my wife just had a wedding at the boathouse, it was a great venue for a party. The night was a blur people but one that truly stood out was the Dalton, the boathouse on-site staff. He literally saved the night. Not only was he helpful before the wedding with advice but during the night of the event he helped above and beyond. We would have been totally okay with him just being onsite and answering questions about the venue if we had questions but he was almost a part of the wedding. I had family members ask who our friend was (Dalton) and how come they had not met him before. His dedication to the job and friendly demeanor really made our night and if you are looking to hold an event at this park, not a question, ask for Dalton if you want...

Enjoyable, Private, Open Air Gazebo

We spent an afternoon work & family event here, and it was excellent. It looks directly over the lake, and at nearly 1.5 floors off of the park ground (handicap accessible) it offers your event some privacy and seclusion from the rest of the park.

The table and dining settings were study and sound, and the parking area directly beside was more than adequate for the BBQ caterers. The sole two points of access allowed for good security and alcohol checkpoints. This was everything we could...
