As someone who considers Smoked Turkey Legs to be one of the Top10 foods in the world I have had a ridiculous number, and have made a ridiculous number, of smoked Turkey legs. This was hands down the best smoked Turkey leg I have EVER had!! We weren’t even looking for dinner but the second we walked around the corner and the smell hit us there was no way we weren’t having them. I quickly settled my wife in at the wine bar for Happy Hour and booked it over to the truck. Fast, friendly and just super nice people, I walked away with 2 Turkey legs probably weighing in at 5 lbs total.
We ended up getting “Caveman Style” (on the bone) with the Jerk, BBQ and Mustard sauce (as recommended). The Turkey legs was amazing by itself, so insanely Smokey, tender and flavorful, but the sauce put it over the top…and I am not even a sauce guy. They were the perfect accent. Not “too” anything…hot, sweet, peppery, tangy. Just the right amount of flavor. Pro tip…do the bbq and mustard together!!
Seriously…this is a new favorite and we will be stalking them for when they are close to Longmont!! Thank you for showing me what the perfect Smoked Turkey...

I decided to try this place out recently and had a mixed experience. The owner is incredibly friendly and has superb customer service. I got the teriyaki sauce and began to make my way home. As I began to eat, I was greeted with bold flavors with a rich, smokey taste. However, as I continued to eat, I noticed that taste began to substantially increase and eventually take over the flavor of the meat. At a certain point, all I was tasting was smoke, which left a less than pleasant taste/feeling in my mouth and stomach. Maybe it was the type of sauce I got or the specific leg, but it was too smoky. I have had turkey legs in the past that are soft and juicy, both on the outside and inside, that don't feel as "burnt" (using that term lightly) and smoky. Maybe later down the road, I will try these guys again, but for now, this is my opinion and the experience I had. I am not going to recommend one way or the other and will simply leave that decision up to whoever sees...
Read moreI follow Smoke N Byrdz he is posted up several places around Aurora and Denver. His Turkey legs are the best. He has several flavors. I got the teriyaki flavor and my husband got the spicy flavor. You have to go quick when you find him because he sells out all the time. The turkey legs are huge and you can get them on the bone or off the done either way it is delicious. I would definitely recommend this food truck. We find him all over. Sometimes he is on Illif in the King Soopers parking lot. Whatever flavor you get you will not be disappointed. One turkey leg you can share with 2 people or save it for later. The price is fair around $20 not bad for the amount of meat on the turkey leg and the flavors are 🤌🏽. Go on and get your caveman or...
