The food here is delicious, but I wanted to give a warning about the customer service we experienced, to any other customers out there who might encounter the same.
We had come from our grandmother’s funeral, I was there with my family. We arrived at 10:30, they informed us they closed at 11 and so we knew we needed to be quick. Having been in a service industry position before, I understand that coming in late can be annoying and that larger parties can be more work than an individual or a couple, but we had 30 minutes till close not 5. We were rushing so that we wouldn’t keep them too late.
The two kids who were working this night could use more training in customer service and tone. They were incredibly rude despite our efforts to hurry and the girl had a lot of attitude and made absolutely no effort to hide her annoyance. When we asked for extra spoons the girl grabbed them and threw them on our tray. She then told us at 10:55 that we needed to leave because they were closing and needed to clean the tables. We tried to help and clean up our table but she insisted that we needed to leave so we left the rest of our bowls on the table and got up. The guy behind the counter then yelled after us "Hey! You can't leave this mess you have to clean it up!". SO did they want us to leave or did they want us to clean it up?
It was shocking that they thought it was ok to talk to people that way let alone customers. We were coming from our grandmother's funeral. You never know what kind of day someone has had or what they might be going through, and it doesn’t help anyone to be rude to one another.
I just thought I would share our experience. This left a bad taste in our mouths. We won’t...

I almost never let bad service make me drop my rating more than a star but this was next level rude. I can put up with rude service when it's just me but they treated my family very poorly so I had to leave a review.
Came here with my family just before 1030pm and before we order they tell us they close at 11pm. No problem, we will eat quickly and leave. We get our food at 1045pm and the employee tells us we have to leave by 11pm because she wants to go home. Not sure why you have to tell us that but I get it. It's late and you're tired so we try to eat quickly. 1101pm and they are telling us we need to leave, but not in a polite way. More in a forceful, get out of here tone of voice. We don't like how they speak to us but we understand and ask for to go containers and start to pack up. I return the first of four bowls we used and she sharply asks me where the other 3 bowls are. Before I can tell her we are still on the process of wrapping up, another employee points at our table and forcefully says, "You can't leave. You need to clean your table." At this point we've had enough of this so we tell them we don't appreciate the way they are speaking to us and pushing us out the door. They dig in saying that they told us they are closing at 11pm and that we should've left already. We finish cleaning and leave the store at 1106pm. I've never been to a service related business and been treated like this for going 6 minutes over.
Very unfortunate because their food is good. Their dduk kkochi was tasty and the sweet potato cream cheese taiyaki was great. But after the way they treated my family, I'm never...
Read moreAfter much convincing from my younger nephew, I finally decided to listen and take him to Snowl - it’s a bit of a drive from home. The trip was well worth it!! I was expecting a typical ice cream shop; but, Snowl is actually different. It’s more of a cafe-like environment, where people of all ages can meet to have a work/study meeting, catch up with friends, or simply to enjoy a unique treat. There was Kpop playing when we were there, which was pretty cool and different - the music wasn’t annoyingly loud, it was perfect to help filter out conversations at other tables, while still letting one hear those around them. The Snow Bowl is what really makes this place unique; it looks like snow and feels like snow, yet tastes much better than snow with its slight vanilla-like flavor. There’s lots of choices, my nephew got the Chocolate bowl, which is perfect for chocolate lovers. I had the Taiyaki in Cup and got a bit creative by choosing the red bean filling, matcha flavor Taiyaki, and chocolate sprinkles - the flavors were unique; but, it’s probably the most awesome ice cream I’ve had in a while. If you aren’t in the mood for something cold, Snowl also offers hot Boba/tea and for those who can’t have milk there’s also a few milk-free slush boba options. Not sure how often I’ll visit; but, definitely hope to stop by when I’m in the area!!
For those wondering - it’s possible to order to go, you just aren’t allowed to eat there if you do order a Snow Bowl to go, guessing it’s due to how easily it can melt after being opened. As far as payments go, the place takes cash or cards, and Apple Pay works (so Google Pay and Samsung Pay likely...
