I want to preface this review by stating that I have gone to Dae Gee in Aurora on Havana for some time, and although I’ve received pushy waiters and occasionally rude servers overall it was never enough to make me say I wouldn’t return.

Tonight- 3-3-2023 I met a friend at the restaurant. Upon entering an older female who was about to refuse to seat my friend and I because we were just a party of two, and she was trying to reserve the large tables for larger parties but there was no one there at the time. Luckily, a couple who sat at a table to cook themselves decided to have the restaurant cook for them so we were seated. The next issue came when our server Truong was asked to bring some more brisket, and he informed my friend and I that he couldn’t bring us any more until we finished what was on our plate. I told him okay although it seemed odd. He turned around from us and started speaking to a table across from us where three white males were sitting. I noticed that he brought them a plate full of meat, one of the items of which was brisket and as he proceeded to sit the plate down the guys sitting there had to move a plate to the side which still had frozen brisket on it. He turned around and I called him over and proceeded to ask him why he brought them brisket after just telling me that they would not bring my friend and I anymore until we finished what was on our plate, he proceeded to argue with us and tell us that it was “because they were actually eating the meat at their table” , I proceeded to inform him that I came there regularly and knew what I was capable of consuming (furthermore their menu clearly stated that they assess charges against people for food not consumed, so why was he metering my friend and I on what we could order). I informed Truong (name on the receipt) that I came to that restaurant often and that my friends and I usually tip very well for good service (often times 30-100% of the bill total) He walked back to the kitchen and then returned and apologized (stating it was his first night, but this was not the first time I received derogatory service), but I was pretty much over the meal at that point. I feel like the servers and staff of this restaurant assume if you’re a minority that you can be bullied, so they will try (as if you don’t know what the service should be like), or they will limit your service based on the perception that you won’t tip as well as white patrons. I had issues when I brought my children and their friend for dinner in December the older female waitress insisted that my children must listen to Rap music because my son had dreadlocks. I’m just over the disrespect every time I and my friends come to eat here it is over a hundred dollars in some cases 200-300 dollars. I don’t feel the need to spend my money where I feel unwanted, or unappreciated. I’ll be finding my way to other establishments from here on, and if you’ve experienced the same I recommend you do the same as well! The vibe here gives discrimination, sad for a restaurant seated in the middle of diverse Aurora. If they are training their new staff to be hardasses for the sake of turning a buck or two here and there, but they only treat certain people a certain way...

I've been coming here for years and am really surprised how terrible the service has become here. I went for lunch and ordered a lunch plate instead of the normal AYCE. ($15.00 vs $30.00) When the check arrived, imagine my surprise when the amount was for the dinner portion $30 rate! The server (Devin) claimed that I had ordered the dinner portion and I pointed out to him, Why would I do that when it was lunch time and furthermore, why wouldn't I just order the AYCE $30 lunch rate instead. I asked to speak to his manager and he claimed that she wasn't available. He mumbled something unintelligible and went back to the register and came back a few minutes later and said that his manager had authorized him to offer a 20% off the meal. I told him that wasn't acceptable and that I wanted to speak to the manager. I then asked for the manager's phone number and he refused. I looked up the number for the DaGae on Colorado boulevard and spoke to the hostess there who gave me the number for their manager and I left a message with that person. Devin is now pacing back and forth and comes up to me and says that he's going to call the police if I don't leave. I told him to call the police... I waited around for about 30 minutes and no police. The manager from the other restaurant called me back and told me that it was all a big mistake and that they had a recent change to the menu and that I would be billed for the lunch rate. Devin is looking pretty flustered now and is fumbling at the register when lo and behold his manager (Rose) appears in punches a few keys on the register to print a new check for the correct lunch rate. Devin, hands me the check, visibly irritated and no sign of remorse for his error. ( I still left him a tip even though I'm pretty sure he's going to get...

This particular location has no appreciation for their customers! Nor do they value the fact that the customer is always right! Especially during COVID-19!!!! When we are ALL facing economic hardships! Let me just say this is me and my husband’s favorite Korean bbq place! We are REGULARS! And we always tip and tip well! We came in the other day and first they raised the prices for the third time! (Taking advantage ) I understand their business might have suffered due to COVID but raising the prices during this time shows GREED! Despite this we still stayed because like I said we love this place, second they didn’t have the beef stew that they call “janjurum” (I think I’m spelling it wrong) they said it was only for “qualified guest” because it’s expensive now! (Whatever that means, you all can put your own ideas to that) lastly my husband was full but had a small amount that he wanted to take home for a snack because we spent so much for the food already we didn’t want to waist our money. Can you believe these people told us we couldn’t have a Togo box??? After being disappointed initially and spending so much money!? They said that the woman there who is the boss said no! They were gonna throw it away anyway! I’m done coming to this location. The lack of customer service here is horrible and dishonorable! You all should be ashamed of yourselves with your lack of care And compassion towards your income!! Which are...
