I'm giving 2 stars because the host was very nice. I had the jollof rice with goat. The goat was stringy, dry, and there was very little meat, mostly skin. It was nearly impossible to cut with the table knife provided. It tasted like it had been frozen for a long time previous to preparation. The rice was hard and dry with little to no sauce. Definitely not a good representation of jollof in my opinion, more like this is a market and they also serve food.
The atmosphere was not great. The television was blaring music, making it nearly impossible to carry on a conversation over dinner. There's a bar, but it doesn't looked like it's stocked. Alcohol is served in plastic cups. There were flies buzzing the table. Overall I felt like I was eating in an outdoor market versus a restaurant. It was a very unprofessional business atmosphere.
For a $30 meal this was definitely not a good value. I'm sure the food cost was about $1.50. I like to support local businesses, but I won't be back to this...

Read moreIf you’re looking for hole in the wall, you found it! When you walk in you’re hit with a meat market type smell. It is EXTREMELY dark and the only lights are a lamp, LED flashing strips hung loosely all over the walls and some bar lights. We decided to order to go. iPhones take awesome pictures so I adjusted the lighting on my phone to take the picture of myself and my children. It’s very cluttered on the inside. The gentleman, I am assuming owner, is very nice and welcoming. The food is extremely expensive for the environment. I asked for a beef meal and besides that to surprise me and got egusi with I believe, with fish and a side of fufú . My son got the rice jollof with chicken. The food was good. It took over an hour from when we ordered to receive or food. One other couple were there...
