Zoocade — Attraction in Austin

Interesting place and it killed a couple of hours, but honestly, the "zoo" part wasn't that great and very expensive for what you got for $20+ a person. Online, one of the descriptions of the zoo said it should last from 30 to 60 minutes, but the Dino zoo we did only lasted about 20 min. You basically went round and round in a circle for I believe 5 rounds to see different periods/animals on various screens. The 3D effect was ok, but a little blurry and they stuck us with another family, so we didn't even get to take our time and do it by ourselves. Instead we had to cram in with other people, so everyone had room to see what was going on. They also seemed very understaffed. They had the front desk person running all over the place to check people in at the different activities and we had to wait to do the zoo for 15 minutes, even though we booked a scheduled time online.

I will say the Hologram room was cool, which is why I'm still giving it three stars. We did the ocean one and had fun with it and it actually lasted a long time and was very interactive. My two sons said they definitely liked it better than the zoo. The "Verse" part looks interesting and similar to what we did in the Hologram room, so we may go back and try that again, but we probably would not do...

This place is such a hidden gem! We visited Zoocade about a month ago and I’m still thinking about how cool it was. Imagine walking through a zoo filled with lifelike holograms of animals from around the world—lions, sharks, reptiles, even dinosaurs! That is just naming a few! It really feels like you're traveling from Africa to Australia without ever leaving Austin. My stepdaughter was obsessed—she couldn’t stop talking about how much fun she had and asking when we were going back!? And honestly, I was impressed too. The quality of the holograms is wild, super immersive and way more realistic than I expected. And then there’s the arcade. A total bonus! Classic and modern games, claw machines, ski ball—you name it. We ended up spending more time there than we planned because it was just that fun. There’s also a party room for birthdays, which would be such a cool spot for a celebration—especially for kids who love animals or gaming. The decor throughout the place is super unique and really adds to the whole vibe. It’s alluring, playful, and just all-around fun. We had the most amazing experience celebrating my daughter’s 5th birthday at Zoocade on 4/27/25! From start to finish, Colleen and her staff went above and beyond to make the day special, fun, and stress-free. The level of care, organization, and enthusiasm they brought to the party truly made it unforgettable for both the kids and the parents.

Colleen was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect and that my daughter felt like a star. The staff was warm, professional, and fantastic with the children, keeping everyone engaged and entertained the entire time. The space was clean, colorful, and full of energy—perfect for a celebration like this.

We’ve received so many compliments from guests about how great the party was, and we couldn’t agree more. We’ll definitely be back and recommend you to anyone looking for an exceptional birthday party experience! I’m not sure why some didn’t give 5 stars because this was the best experience we have ever had for a children’s party or outing experience period!
