My wife and I stopped her for some coffee and ice cream with our newborn. Unfortunately we were met with some very bad vibes.
We wanted to place our order inside in the AC so that our newborn wouldn't overheat. Unfortunately, the gal working the iPad insisted that we order outside in the 103 degree heat.
There wasn't a single patron in the bottega so I'm not sure what was preventing her from allowing us to order inside.
We decided to just leave. Just a puzzling experience all the way around.
I've reached out to the owner, Gregory Maze as I felt compelled to share this strange and negative experience.
Based on my email exchange with Kati Luedecke yesterday and my conversation with the 'president', it is very clear that Bottega does not value customer feedback or experience.
I simply wanted to place our order inside the AC so that our newborn didn't overheat in the 103 degree heat.
I'm not sure why Bottega has chosen to respond defensively rather than focus on a customer first resolution.
In my email exchange yesterday, I asked to speak to a different "voice" in Rudy or Gregory as Kati was more focused on "enforcing" the ordering at the iPad policy rather than addressing my customer satisfaction issue.
I wish bottega all the best, and hope they can use this experience to treat people with kindness...
Read moreWalked over this morning to grab a coffee and had an interesting experience. Went to walk in and use the restroom to where I was met with a nasty employee (larger girl with curly hair) who rudely told me go to the window and shut the door in my face. Then when at the window asked for a manager to which I was told no one in charge works there the lady that was in front of me said she was also rude to her as well. I calmly explained to her that she was giving poor customer service to which she became even more rude and over talking. Whoever she is bad for business. Hope the right person sees this because it was a nice looking place and the experience was ruined due to one bad employee.
UPDATE: Yikes this is your response when âsupposedlyâ you werenât there?? If you were there shouldnât have been a coward and came out to speak with me when I asked for a manager! Donât flatter yourself you had no line nor would I have tried to skip it. Where I come from we wash our hands before eating anything hence the reason to go inside to use a restroom. Sadly your other reviews state bad customer service you should work on that and trust me I would never spend a cent with someone like you and hope other after reading your response...
Read moreA bit of an oddball. The coffee was good not great and the overnight oats were way too thick and lacked enough flavor. The baristas were nice and the order came out correctly so no knock on them.
The space is a live/work apartment so if you go inside you have the option of sitting on the kitchen bar or a separate table. I sat in kitchen bar but the kitchen was pretty dirty. The inside was messy with decommissioned a ice-cream machine and other stuff. The whole place looked cluttered. The front door is also locked and you have to go around the side making it seem like they donât want you inside.
I moved outside where they have a small patio with furniture. The outside furniture was all super uncomfortable, especially the two-seater. Clearly itâs missing the cushions or something.
They have one umbrella and the space gets blasted by the sun in the morning. Sun coverage is very spotty so you are either squinting or heating up if you are not in the right spot.
This place is cute has potential but needs to make some changes. Get more comfortable outdoor patio furniture, more shade structures to protect against the morning sun, declutter the interior, keep the kitchen clean and open that front door so people feel...
