This is an update to my previous review (below).
Ok...so this place has quasi-redeemed itself. The wait times in the drive-thru are still ungodly, but at least the past two times they have acknowledged it and gave me a discount on my bfast sandwich one time and this past time comped my order (a tall dark roast & scone) altogether because the wait really was redic.
Let's hope they keep up this new trend of customer service and maybe one day can find a way to keep the line moving more efficiently.
I'd like to think my previous review might have had a lil something to do w/the uptick in service here!
Previous Review: I usually do not have a problem with Starbucks, but this weekend morning, I was in a hurry and had not gotten my insta-human additive of caffeine and this SBucks was by my apt and on my way and what should have been a quickie coffee fix turned into one of the worst drive-thru experiences of my life!
I was almost deterred by the line of 8 cars in the drive thru, but after a peek through the window, the inside line wasn't any better and considering the heat, I decided to continue taking refuge in the cool climate control of my car. The drive thrus at most SBucks have moved fast in my experience, even when they are multiple cars deep, so I figured it would be 10mins tops...I got in line at 1:04pm...at 1:20pm I was still 3 cars from the window (I don't know what the heck was taking this drive-thru so long per vehicle, but I was at the point of no return and my caffeine craving had veto-ed my common sense to leave the queue). When I finally pulled up to claim my order of a grande dark roast red-eye with a cranberry orange scone, it was well past 1:30pm...almost 30mins in a drive-thru line for a cup of coffee...I know, I know, first world problems, but imagine my shock, horror, and frustration when the cashier rings me up (she told me she'd give me my total at the window almost half an hour ago) and then proceeds to have me sit there at the window for an additional 3mins (in drive thru time, that is an eternity) while my coffee is being made...really? The previous HALF HOUR wasn't enough time to prepare a grande dark roast red eye?!? But, here is the kicker...she then tells me "oh no, I forgot to ring up your scone" and instead of just comping me the scone for not only waiting in line 30mins and forgetting about it to begin with and then having me wait EVEN LONGER for my coffee and now my scone...SHE CHARGES ME THE additional $2.64!!?!
So after over 30mins in the drive thru for a grande dark roast red-eye (which they forgot to add the 4 Splendas I had requested, but there was no way in hell I was going back into what is now my Coffee 'Nam) and a scone that was not warmed up (as requested), I got to drive away with disappointing products, two separate credit card charges, frustration with a side of anger, and the promise to never return to this or any Starbucks in the near future!
This may have been a one-off experience, but seriously, if you can't even give me a free $2.45 scone after that whole ordeal, I want absolutely nothing to do with this location and hope that my review and word of mouth will either help get the employees here trained better or the...
Read moreI’m fairly frustrated. I’m not a picky person and will give someone a million chances. However, my drinks are wrong here more often than they are right. This is the only location I have this issue at. My drinks are uncomplicated menu drinks. I constantly get hot when I want iced, venti when I ordered grande, and the espresso is burnt to a crisp. Their machines desperately need recalibrated. Additionally they are routinely completely out of most breakfast food by 10 am and by afternoon will be out of everything. Starbucks has an algorithm to tell how many of what items to defrost every day. This location is obviously not utilizing that. The barista at the window is also supposed to chat with the customer and ensure drinks are correct. However at this location the window is shut and the barista will stand there waiting for the drinks to be completed. When an issue is brought up the attitude is uncaring and more often than not I’m given a shrug and asked “sure you don’t just want this one?”. So I can either throw my drinks away or drive down to the Starbucks in the HEB parking lot to be fixed. The baristas there say it’s extremely common to get remakes from this particular location and even comment how chaotic this location is. The baristas are friendly and certainly busy, but there are many areas of improvement. These issues have been going on for...
Read moreMy mom and I were there yesterday trying to have a good conversation and enjoy the Starbucks refreshers. There were only 3 people working. So it take a while until someone came to took our order. We didn’t complain about it because the drive thru was busy so we understood they were understaffed. The guy who took our order was in a rush, there were 2 flies. Inside of the pastry display case. I brought it to his attention so he can take it out because it’s kind of gross see them on top off the break and flying around. I never try to be disrespectful to him or told how to do his job. His response was I won’t give you the bread from there, we have it at the back. At this point I look around and notice the lobby was dirty too and if he didn’t care how the front look I can’t imagine how the back looks like. He was very unprofessional, her coworker called out for our pastries but they never call us out when our drinks were ready. I tried to don’t let the situation bother me out because I just want to have a nice moment since my mom was visiting me. Anyway I just want to encourage y’all to be more careful about keeping the appearance and cleanness guidelines up to the standards. I know for sure if health departments showed during that time their scores would be low for those...
