El Pollo Rico # 6 — Restaurant in Austin

I should really avoid this location but it is the most convinent for work with a drive thru. Their food is great, but the service is horrible. Today again I was left waiting at the drive thru. No - I will be right with you. I had to say hello. I order a chicken plate with only rice and an extra green sauce. I realized once I started moving that I did not tell her I wanted dark meat. They did not ask. Since there were 4 cars ahead of me, I tried calling the number listed on Google Maps but could not get through. When I go to the window and told them I needed the dark meat. The girl said she gave me white meat. I reapated I want dark meat. She repeated that she gave me white meat and seem very annoyed when I said I did not like white meat and wanted dark meat. As I was pulling away I could not find the sauce and ask about it. Not very friendly she said she put it there I found it at the bottom, but not the extra one I asked. Again with a not very friendly attittude, she gave the sacue. Not a good feeling coming here. I will avoid it in the futre and to the one on Riverside. It is not abouthe forgetting things, tha happens to all of us. It is how we react to it and how we are treated. I do not like how I am treated at this locations.

Why did it take so long to find this place? . But the food is great. I love the Half Baked Chicken at right under $ 10. It comes with half of a chicken that is char-grilled. That is the Leg and Thigh Quarter, Breast, and Wing. It also comes with Rice, Beans, 4 Corn tortilla, and a Green Chile Avocado sauce, and a Red Chili tomato sauce. Oh, and the chicken comes with a roasted onion. And half a lime on the side if you need it. I always ask for extra sauce. They have all kinds of Mexican Food. You can also practice your Spanish while you are there.----Highly recommended, I have gone to locations North and South and the quality of food is consistent. Honestly I'm at a loss for words right now. I had an order that was incorrect and it was just one of those days where everything comes at once. I drove back and when I told them the issue, instead of treating me badly the drive through lady was beyond sweet and treated me so well. Then the manager came and was equally incredible. I will never forget the 5 star service I just received at an amazing fast food place. Their food is super delicious,but their people who have a heart for service, will keep you coming back for sure!!
