**Gabrielas Mexican Restaurant Review** Upon entering Gabrielas, we were immediately swept up in the vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The restaurant was alive with loud Mexican dance and club music, creating an upbeat and festive mood that was perfectly complemented by the extravagant decor. The marine blue color scheme was striking and added a refreshing, coastal touch to the overall ambiance. We started our evening with margaritas, and we were thrilled by the extensive margarita menu. There were so many unique and delicious options to choose from! Each sip was delightful, making it clear that the margaritas at Gabrielas are a must-try. For appetizers, we couldn't resist the queso. It was creamy, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick off our meal. When it came to our main courses, we were equally impressed. I opted for the Chipotle enchiladas, which were bursting with rich, smoky flavors and cooked to perfection. My wife chose the avocado cream enchiladas, and they were equally delightful, with a smooth and luscious avocado sauce that was absolutely delectable. Overall, our experience at Gabrielas was outstanding. From the lively atmosphere and beautiful decor to the delicious food and drinks, everything exceeded our expectations. It's a place where you can enjoy an authentic Mexican dining experience with a modern twist. We give Gabrielas a well-deserved 5 stars!

It was my very first time coming to Gabriela’s, and I was super excited to come. Especially since I know the owner is the same from Mala Vida and I absolutely love going there because the employees are all great, but I was surprised to find out that at the restaurant it was the complete opposite. Our server Esly S was beyond rude from the moment our party walked into the door. She constantly was rushing us what seemed like she just wanted to get us out of there. I had ordered the sopes and I specifically asked her if the sopes had beans because I don’t like beans and wanted them off. She told me no the sopes do not come with beans, but when my food came out there was beans all over it ?? I was so confused because I specifically asked about that. She never once came to check on us to see if we needed anything at all. Me and my cousin ordered the same drink the spicy mango licuachela but when she brought our drinks she gave us the other one we gucci guava licuachela we asked her and even showed her the menu to let her know our drinks were wrong but she said those were the mango licuachela but it definitely wasn’t. When we tried to tell her how we felt about her service she walked away while we were talking to her. Thankfully we were able to talk to the manager and express how all 6 of us felt. He listened to us and checked us out the rest of the night. As a first time customer I was really disappointed. I honestly thought I would have a better experience at a restaurant then a club ?? On the picture you can see the beans on the sopes, the servers name, and the wrong drink. I will not be returning.

Ok you guys! 😁 Here we go. I've been dying to check out Gabriela's for a long time. Reservation was for 6:45, we were seated at 7:20. Not sure what the reservation was for. It took a server to come to our table a little over 6 minutes. The enchilada was super salty. The choriqueso was but the people next to us complained that theirs smelled burnt, so did ours. The mariscos encabronados were delicious so was the margarita sampler. El cóctel de camaron y pulpo was just ok. All in all I wouldn't return for the food. Drinks are fun and so is the ambiance. Maybe go back on a music/dance night but for the food, no way. Service is pretty bad too. Coming from working in the restaurant business perspective. The server in our section had no idea what consolidation is. He'd go to only one table, go back inside the kitchen, come out with a single item in hand, go to another table and do the same thing over and over. Acting busy when in reality he was just wasting his own time and the customers. Was it worth the TikTok hype? No, no it wasn't. It was disappointing. I expected better. Much better service for sure. Oh! I almost the hostess! She looked like she was living her worst hell. Annoyed, angry, who knows wth was wrong but talk about bringing your baggage to work! 😕 My daughter works at a burger joint and said if we gave that attitude , took this long with bringing drinks or cleaning up tables my manager would be fuming. She's 16. If a 16 yr old noticed all this, that tells you how bad it was. Anyway if you do check it out, I wish better luck than what we had.

I’d made reservations at 11:30 party of 5 and we got seated pretty quickly, waitress came by after 10min and took our drink order, when she came back with our drinks, I asked for more creamer (she never brought any) and then we didn’t see her until 30-45min later to put in our food order. While we waited, I saw there was nasty black gunk in my husband’s cup and with the wait time to order was taking a long time. I was already upset so when the waiter finally came by to take our order. I asked for her manager. I am not completely sure if the man she brought us was the manager or just a co-worker pretending to be manager so that she didn’t get in trouble but “Jesus” was definitely not acting like a manager. I showed him the drink and all he said was “oh yeah, that looks like old food” I explained our wait time to order was also taking for ever and all he said was “I’ll have the waiter come by to take your order”. No apology, no better explanation for the wait or the nasty cup. We have been here before and the food was great so we stayed since we had already spent an hour waiting for someone to take our order. At end we were still charged for the drink and the “manager” was just unfazed by the negative experience we had. First time I have EVER not left a tip.

This was a mixed bag. Some things were very good and others fell flat. I wish there was something in the middle, like 3.5. The service was excellent and they were very sweet to our 11 month old. Nice patio area with music at a good volume. Marg flight was fun and delicious, they use exotica tequila as their well which is something to be noted since most well liquor can be tough stuff. The Mex martini was meh and needed a proper martini glass, not a whiskey glass. Mole fell flat, like it was not finished, very soupy and thin. I think it truly might have needed more time. Queso flameado was so delicious, one of the best I've had in Austin. Birra taco w cheese was more than I was prepared for, so yummy and I will come back for those. Aguachiles was okay, good mix of ingredients and for $22 nice portion size. It just wasn't amazing, missing something, not spicy as anticipated and needed more time in the citrus to 'cook.' The salsa sampler does cost $5 so don't expect it grat like in most places, however all 4 we're very flavorful and worth it. Overall a good place to stop for HH and some apps, we will be back knowing what to avoid on the menu.

So, let me tell you about this gem called Gabriella's! If you're ever in South Austin, you've gotta swing by this awesome Tex Mex joint. Seriously, it's a flavor fiesta! First off, the ambiance is so inviting. Picture this: colorful décor, lively music, and a friendly staff that makes you feel like family as soon as you walk in. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my, where do I even start? The menu is packed with all your Tex Mex favorites, but with Gabriella's special twist. From sizzling fajitas to mouthwatering enchiladas, every bite is a flavor explosion. And don't even get me started on their margaritas – they're legendary! But here's the best part: the portions are generous, so come hungry! You'll leave with a full belly and a big smile on your face. Plus, the prices are reasonable, so you can indulge without breaking the bank. Overall, Gabriella's is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Tex Mex cuisine in South Austin. Trust me, once you try it, you'll be hooked!
