Halal Bros — Restaurant in Austin

I absolutely love this lol bro. The food is zipper. I go at least 3 to 4 times a week maybe more sometime… The service can be scheduled they’re always hiring new people, but their intentions are meant well and they’re really nice guys. They’ve definitely messed up my order before, but always willing to fix it or refund it if they got it wrong… Which is greatly appreciated atmosphere for me is definitely a fancy joint, which is not my typical kind of place I like to hang out but if you like passing the joint, they definitely try and keep a clean fresh plan… They give you all the sauce you want in a refrigerator upfront and have a soda drinking fountain where you can refill your own drink, but what I love best about this place is the flavor of the Gyro meat and the cardamom cinnamon rice, which is so much better than all the other Halal and kebab places in town there’s definitely a 5 Star Pl. on this and one of my favorites.!!!! I visited this restaurant tonight with high hopes but left feeling thoroughly disappointed. The overall experience fell short of my expectations.

Food: 1/5 The food quality was below par. My order arrived cold, and the sauce flavors were bad. The portion size was also much smaller than expected.

Service: 1/5 The service was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. It took an eternity for someone to take our order, and our requests were met with sighs and eye rolls. Someone wearing glasses kept saying they were closing 20 minutes ahead of their posted closing time while we were eating.

Ambience: 1/5 The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and is well-decorated but the tables were not clean.

Overall: 1/5 I regret that I can't recommend this restaurant. The poor service and disappointing food overshadowed any positive aspects. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving the overall...

Updated review: ate in the restaurant today for the first time and ordered gyro over rice with everything on it. OMG love the experience. Food is great. Would definitely do it again.

Original review (delivery) 4 stars: Been looking for a yummy Mediterranean restaurant since we had Skewer's in Melbourne, FL, but have not been lucky. Halal Bros, even though very different in flavor, was another winner in our search for a yummy Mediterranean place.

We ordered combo shawarma with beef/lamb combo meat as well as added chicken, with white and hot sauce. The hot sauce was a bit too much for me, but I don't like chili spice. The white sauce was delicious over everything. The rice was perfectly seasoned; a bit unevenly chunky here and there, but not a deal breaker.

It also comes with chopped lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber.

Only down side is some chicken pieces had cartilage, not a pleasant surprise.
