When to pick up a cake Saturday around 1pm. The order was placed at 10:50am. When I got there I have them a specific name the order was under. The young lady (Vanessa) came back and shared could it be under another name, gave her 2 names. Vanessa came back again after a few mins (about 3 mins) that she cannot find it. She did ask if I have the receipt, and I shared no. I am just here to pick up. She asked me again could it be under another name? I then shared that it could be under 5 other names. (at this point I was frustrated that the cake could not be found) Vanessa returns to the back. Meanwhile I was able to have the receipt sent to me via text. Vanessa then asks if I can get the receipt, I showed her my phone and she then looks at the receipt. She does what she needs to do at the register then goes to the back again. Shortly after she returns and informs me that the cake has not been made but it will take 30 mins. She is apologetic and I inform her that I cannot wait, I am here to just pick it up and have to go. She then continues that it takes a few mins (umm 30 mins is not a few mins) but it will be out. The gentleman from the bake and says something but I completely blow it off because I was frustrated and needed to go. As I was leaving, I did make mention that I was going to post on Yelp and this is where things went south. Literally the gentleman and Vanessa started to get hostile telling me that they apologize, there's no need to post this experience and they are willing to throw in free cupcakes. Then told me that I confused them by giving them so many names. I then share that the initial name I gave them was the name on the order but the information was never translated on their end to bake the cake. I then have to remind Vanessa not to get upset and she looks at me with a smile and says "have a good day".
Later on, my sister went to pick up the cake and when she asked for the Manger's contact info, Vanessa was hesitant to provide it. She kept telling my sister that I was confusing them with all the names. Again, the initial name I provided was on the receipt however the cake hadn't been started. In the end, the cake was rushed and you could tell; frosting was messy and the presentation was awful!
I am sorry but I respect your window to when a cake is ready and if you cannot respect my time, we have issues. I don't need free product, all I was asking for was for this location to take accountability that the cake was not done when promised and to not have attitude. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hate giving a bad review unless really deserved so I gave this store 4 stars b/c overall I luv nothing Bundt cakes and have never had a bad experience, however there was 1 girl at the new Kyle location who wasnāt the most attentive and she would not take a recently expired coupon for bogo despite my telling her that all other locations accept the coupon a few days within the expiration date but she did not accept it despite however long it took for me to even fish out the coupon email so that wasnāt very nice or courteous. I accepted and left w/o buying anything⦠a bit turned off. I returned another week and got the red velvet, which was amazing! And I was very excited to get the new flavor of pumpkin spice but for the very first time I have to say I did not care for it. I usually love pumpkin spice but this tasted compact and not fluffy. It wasnāt moist and airy. It kind of tasted like Vitamins due to the spices. I have to say it was NOT tasty but also not their usual. I was so surprised. I canāt give them less than 4 stars b/c this really was a rare occurrence. They have always had fantastic Bundt cakes and every flavor has been so yummy and moist but this one was a definite fail in my opinion. Iām hoping that I just received a bad batch as it was the last one in the case, although the employer mentioned there were more in the back⦠but to be honest, I was not impressed and was pretty disappointed with the quality and flavor of the pumpkin spice. If I couldāve returned it, I would have. That bad. But all other flavors have been amazing and I highly recommend them and am extremely excited that we have a store in Kyle ! Yay!! Now I donāt have to make the hike all the way to southpark meadows for a great Bundt cake like I used to. Now we just need a good authentic Mexican place, a pinkberry and a great chinese restaurant! He turned 4 today! āŗļø So he picked out his bundlet and I picked out their new limited lemon raspberry bundlet as a treat for me as well (he doesnāt share his treats lol) so we are checking out, I use a cash app card (which Iām about not to be using anymore š) my mom had sent money for these treats and it wasnāt coming through was saying pending. I told the lady sorry let me run to the car and grab my other card (if was in my moms wallet from a different store) I said Iām sorry Iāll be right back and she said no itās hot youāre fine just take it, itās both of your birthdays this month. I said absolutely not, I have the money just let me grab my card. She said no maāam just leave a review for my store and we will call it even. I thanked her with all my might and now here I am publicly thanking her. I wish I got her name but I didnāt. I love this location I always have. I get all kinds of bundlets and birthday cakes there.
