Being an Indian, the last place I expect to be racially abused is at an Indian food place! Seriously, the guy called me an "Indian a**hole" over the phone!
Tldr: very avg food, extremely rude, racist, and confrontational staff.
I ordered through Mr. Delivery (which is awesome!) my order arrived without the breads I had ordered, I called the driver back and he said this is all he got from the food truck. So I called Bombay Dhaba and ask if the driver forgot part of the order there, and the guy yells back at me "why are you calling me!? Did you call me before you ordered with Mr. Delivery!?" I told him that he's being extremely rude and that I'm merely asking him if the driver left part of the order there. I'm usually a very calm person, so I tried to ignore his tone and requested him to calm down and once again restated that I'm only trying to confirm if the driver picked up the complete order. But the guy starts yelling at me again! I tried again but to no avail. I finally lost my cool and told him to screw off and disconnected the phone. I wish that were the end of it!
The guy calls me back and starts cussing me out! Tells me I'm an "Indian a**hole" and that he knows my name and number (whatever that implies). He goes on to send me text messages after I stopped taking his calls! I'm completely at a loss for words at this point, I mean all I wanted was a nice Indian meal, which I didn't get and was now being called all sorts of names for merely asking if my food was still there.
Mr. Delivery was extremely apologetic about the situation and assured me that they will take up the matter with the restaurant management. I also received a refund for the things I didn't receive, as well as a $10 credit.
In the end, this was the worst dinner experience I've had in my life! The one thing I'm thankful for is that the food was extremely average. Being a foodie the last thing I'd want is to WANT to go back to...
Read moreOther people’s reviews gave me the impression that the service isn’t great and that they’re pretty rude but the food makes up for it. I went anyway for the food and wanted to decide for myself if they were nice/rude. I quickly came to the conclusion that they are indeed curt. But whatever, it doesn’t matter THAT much—what matters most is the food. At first glance the food looks great but it was lacking in flavor. I ordered roti with both garlic and cheese. It was just ok, edible. I also ordered the chicken tikka masala spicy and it came through in heat but again, not in flavor. The worst part honestly was that the chicken was super, super dry. I am pretty disappointed considering the reviews I’ve read brought me here. I love Indian food and have been craving some but unfortunately this...
Read moreFirst I'll say the food was very good. We had chicken tikka masala, paneer masala, saag paneer, samosas and garlic roti. We eat Indian food regularly and this was great quality by comparison. The price was probably a little high considering there was no table service, but it was still yummy. We had to pay for bottled water, which upped the price too, as there was no free water option. They did give us plenty of rice, though. No skimping there. It's a food truck, so naturally, the seating was not great and it's right next to traffic. Due to our circumstances, we had to eat right there, so eating spicy hot, temperature hot Indian food on a very hot afternoon was really not very pleasurable, so I'd say reserve this for take out. Would definitely purchase this food again -...
