Even though I work here I still love to also eat here and shop so this is not a review just because of the fact that I’m an employee and I’ve seen some negative reviews that’s how we grow if we don’t know something has happened we cannot fix the problem so please tell us if this happens and I want to say thank you to the public for keeping Cracker Barrel open since 1969 also I want to apologize to anyone who has had to wait over the quote time that was given to them when they signed in sometimes our quote times we think are accurate but they aren’t because of the fact that sometimes tables sit longer than we are expecting them to so please bare with us we are trying to continuously improve on that and with all of these reviews that it is also helping me to become a better employee I am honored to say I work for this company and yes it has its days where it’s a little bit stressful but what other job doesn’t and also I’m willing to learn from my mistakes and become a better and stronger person that’s the only way that I can make it through life so I hope to see everyone in at Cracker Barrel soon and i’m excited to see what the future has in store for me and please let us know if you have a problem so we can help resolve it and bare with us please don’t get upset with us because of the fact that we’re trying to help you and the stress level is high we don’t want that because we want you to feel welcome like you’re sitting at our table in our own homes and we want to work through all of the problems with you right there beside us and we can’t do that without you letting us know what is going on that you need resolved so please don’t leave without telling us I’m excited to see everyone that comes through our doors and just so you know we are open on Easter the only day that we are closed is on Christmas Eve we close at 2 PM we reopen the day after Christmas at 6 AM we are open every Sunday through Thursday 6 AM to 10 PM and every Friday and Saturday 6 AM to 11 PM and on Thanksgiving that is our busiest day besides Mother’s Day we Do Not Take Reservations so I hope to see you all soon and please don’t forget about our online app where you can go ahead and sign in it takes up to six people and when you come in please let the hostess know your group is all there because the online check-in is just saying that you’re on your way and we’ll get you in as soon as possible and also please note that sometimes our wait times aren’t as accurate as we would like and we apologize for that we are working on them daily to keep them as accurate as possible and we strive to do our best and I will never forget the first time that I ever came in and ate at this location because I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to eat the server suggested I try the Cracker Barrel sampler and that is still my go to when I can’t figure out what I want it has meatloaf which is also one of my favorites it has ham and that is your choice of either country ham which is a little bit saltier or sugar cured ham which is a little bit sweeter tasting as well as chicken and dumplings and three sides I enjoy our macaroni and cheese or brussels sprouts and kale salad and also are carrots and many of our other sides and I love our biscuits with a little bit of Dickinson’s strawberry jam which we serve in the restaurant and sell out in the gift shop and we do have a lot of other items that we serve in our gift shop as well as the sourdough white bread so I hope to see you all soon and again I apologize on my own behalf for anybody who has had a Unpleasant visit at this location Cracker Barrel hopes to see you again and like I said I’m not just saying this because I work there I’m saying it because I honestly and wholeheartedly believe in this company otherwise I would not be employed with them as long as I have been I would have looked for a job elsewhere and I’m not planning to do that my job means a lot to me and I hope it shows in my performance daily to everyone that I encounter from all the guests that I encounter all the way to my...
Read moreWe order out every Friday from work there are 8 of us that order from local restaurants weekly. First of all, the online ordering would not let us schedule for today at all (on some computers) We had to order from our phones to make some of them work. A few people could not make it work so they just ordered asap. I called the restaurant to let them know the circumstances of what went on and I planned to pick up the eight orders together at noon, they said that would be fine. I gave her the 8 names of the orders for reference. I was told by one of our employees they would never order take out from there again because the last time the whole ordeal was horrendous the last time they went there for takeout . So, I was prepared and decided to go early to avoid any issues. I arrived at 11:25am to pick up the food knowing that it wouldn't be ready yet and planned to wait. I went to the cashier to check in and let her know I was there. It took from 11:35-11:55 to get all 8 names found and checked in- she struggled and kept telling me how she has never had so many carryout orders- I explained it was for my workplace. Once I got done checking in I had to wait by a shelf and was given two paper bags to bag up my orders. It was not 12p and the woman there assisted me with getting the orders off the shelf but were missing two orders. She told me to go put the first 6 in my car and come back so I did. I waited from 12p- 12:22pm for the last two orders to be done- which were all supposed to be done at 12. Knowing most of the other 6 orders had been sitting there since 11:35 when I first go to the cashier- because I saw them on the shelf. Finally, after 43 minutes I gathered all of the 8 orders with 2 showing up finally 22 minutes after they were scheduled to be ready. I asked to speak to a manager knowing that most of the food was now cold. He said sorry we were buys I don't know what to tell you. I said Well I have to go back to 7 other people and deliver cold food that they paid for and they are not going to be happy. He said I am not sure what I can do about that. I explained that when people order they have an expectation to not only get the food they order timely but to have it arrive at the correct temperature. He said well yeah I can go ask the other three managers that are working on the line about what we can do. He came back out with my last order and said there you go have a nice day. I told him this was truly unacceptable and if they cannot handle takeout orders they should somehow manage the system differently- the whole process was overwhelming and disappointing. I ensured him it was quite a saddening experience and unfortunately, we would not be able to return, and he said oh well I am sorry. So, I just wanted to let you know how the situation was handled and the fact that all of the food except one order arrived to my...
Read moreSooooo disappointed! My family and I for as long as I know LOVED eating at Cracker Barrel! We all met last night to eat and celebrate my niece turning 13. There were 6 of us in total. The waitress was HORRIBLE! I do not like to say this about anyone, however unbelievably terrible service. She was rude, obviously overwhelmed, and could not handle her section like whatsoever. We watched 2 tables get up And leave due to her service. She would interrupt you while you were ordering, rush you then tell you to hold on.. abruptly. I can deal with that, no problem I get it, but, she lied to us about ordering appetizers (which she didn’t bring out until after our meals came out) But she got our orders wrong, and 3 of my family members ordered breakfast. Biscuits and gravy…. She brought NO GRAVY and then refused to bring it the entirety of our meal. NOONE got any refills on drinks. My father asked for decaf coffee upon ordering the initial drink order and she said, “I’ll have to go back and see if we have any, if not I’ll have to make some, and I don’t have time.” Huffing and puffing while rolling her eyes. He got ONE cup of coffee the Entire Time, she didn’t even offer to give him more. My niece (birthday girl) ordered French fries that’s all she just French fries. The waitress brought them to her, and she literally just wanted some ketchup, to which this waitress never brought out. When we asked for gravy, ketchup REFILLS on drinks, she replied,” You’ll have to wait, I’m really busy,” I am sad to say that I’ve never had such TERRIBLE service ever before. Lastly, she told us of this appetizer special they had where if you were an account holder you can receive a free appetizer. Myself(who had a separate bill from the rest of the family) and my father, each have an account. She told us because of this if we ordered apps, they would take them off our bills at the check out counter, after our meals. After receiving this horrible service, I went to pay my bill and speak to the manager to let him know of how disappointed we all were at this dinner. He apologized, and proceeded to take my appetizer off my bill. My father then went after me to pay his bill, he showed the manager his account just as I had done one minute prior, in which this manager said to him, oh your rewards expired yesterday. This place is a joke. It’s dirty, horrible service, and honestly our food was not good either. This restaurant used to be outstanding. It’s so sad how downhill it has become. Needless to say we will not be returning. The servers name was Kaitlyn. Be prepared for major disappointment if you go...
