Gala Restaurant offers an enchanting dining experience that combines artistry and flavors inspired by South America. The restaurant takes its name from Gala Diakonova, a muse and partner to Salvador Dalí, whose influence is reflected in the restaurant's ambiance and culinary offerings.
Upon entering Gala Restaurant, guests are greeted by a welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant pays homage to Gala's role as an artistic muse, with tasteful decorations and a unique blend of surrealism and elegance.
The menu at Gala Restaurant showcases a fusion of South American flavors, expertly crafted into dishes that excite the senses. One of the standout appetizers is the Spanish Octopus, featuring aji panca adobo, charred corn salad, crispy fingerling potatoes, and saffron aioli. The combination of flavors and textures creates a delightful balance that is both satisfying and intriguing.
For seafood enthusiasts, the Ceviche Mixto is a must-try dish. This vibrant creation incorporates red snapper and Florida shrimp, immersed in a tomato-habanero broth and accompanied by avocado, Florida citrus, tomatoes, chile dust, crispy sweet potato, and micro cilantro. The interplay of fresh ingredients and zesty flavors delivers a refreshing and invigorating culinary experience.
Gala Restaurant also impresses with its meat offerings. The Grilled Salmon, marinated in achiote, is served with a cauliflower puree and red onion-morita chili jam. The combination of the tender, flavorful salmon with the creamy puree and the subtle heat from the chili jam creates a harmonious dish that showcases the kitchen's skillful execution.
Another delightful option is the Pan-Seared Chicken Bistecca, accompanied by crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted sweet potato, and corn crema. The succulent chicken, paired with the well-prepared sides, offers a satisfying and well-rounded meal that will leave diners wanting more.
To complement the main dishes, Gala Restaurant offers a selection of sides, including artichoke and crispy Brussels sprouts. These perfectly cooked vegetables add a touch of freshness and provide a delightful contrast to the main courses.

Read morewe were party of 6 celebrating 83rd birthday. The weather necessitated we go indoors for eating instead of outside where the fans over the table could not be shut. We had to wait 35 minutes for any table... which happened after one of the men in our party suggested they put to tables together. For this, the appetizers were on the house (brussels sprouts and gracamole were very good) . Sadly, this did not make up for what transpired at the end of the meaL. The disappointment came when in the restaurant protocal for settling the bill was so messed up. We would have been better having asked for separater checks, instead of asking for the total food bill to be split 3 ways. The restaurant manager and the server billed incorrectly!! the food bill was $273 whereas the drink bill $86. They split the drink bill 3 ways instead of the food bill. Imagine reviewing your bill and finding you paid for everyone's dinners???? all 3 couples wanted their respective charge receipts. When this was pointed out to the manager, we needed to go to the front desk to resolve this. Their credit card machine was not working. Had they told us this originally, we could have stated to separate the bill. NO ONE COMMUNICATED THIS. Almost another hour spent standing at the front desk hoping they can correct this gross error. At this time, one couple's bill is not resolved. My bill has reversal of the entire food bill.... it is a mess. BEWARE. While at the front desk, the manager finally offered to not charge for the drinks. I could say a lot more on the mis handling of the situation...... I will save that for the manager of the hotel. I will speak with the hotel manager this week. we have enjoyed the food at the Gala previously. It will be a VERY LONG TIME before ever...
Read moreI had the pleasure to dine at Gala Restaurant & MuseBar located on the 7th floor of the Hilton Hotel Aventura. Parking was easy to find on the parking garage along the left side of the building. From the parking garage you can take the elevator to the restaurant. We decided to dine alfresco because it overlooked the pool. We dined here because the restaurant was featured as a part of Miami Spice. We dined on a prefix menu that included an appetizer, entree, dessert, and a glass of wine for $42 not including taxes and gratuity. I ordered the tostones with chicken and black beans for my appetizer it was a bit spicy but delicious. For my entree, I ordered the chimichurri churrasco steak. It was tasty. The white wine paired very well with my dinner. I ordered a spiked frozen lemonade from the a la cart menu but the alcohol was significantly missing. The desert was a chocolate lava cake paired with vanilla ice cream topped with caramelized bananas. The chocolate cake was not overly sweet and the ice cream was a creamy vanilla bean. The presentation of every meal that was served out of that kitchen was phenomenal (very fancy). Oscar, our server was very attentive. He even observed that I dropped my napkin on the floor and got me a new one. He brought us new utensils with every dish. Also, the view from the 7th floor is amazing. Overall, it was a great value meal. Be sure to check out Gala Restaurant during...
