Avon Park Diner — Restaurant in Avon Park

This visit was a disappointment from as soon as we walked in the door. As we were greeted and being taken to our table one of the waitresses was so in so much of a rush that she walked into our group yelling excuse me like we cut her off. If you want to make money how about you let the customers get to their table. Our waiter took our drink and appetizers order. The drinks were slow to come out. When he brought our drinks he took our food order. 20 minutes later our food came out... with our appetizers. We ordered fried green tomatoes and they were mush - covered in grease and soggy. I ordered a Frisco burger which typically is served with thousand island dressing but my sandwich had none. I had to ask for the thousand island dressing. My side item was onion rings and I was brought fries. I told the waiter about the mix up and he told me he would fix it. A few moments later he came out with a plate and said he had to take back my fries. I was not going to eat them but the idea of taking food back is a little weird. Wow! This place is great! The prices are reasonable, the staff is very friendly, and the restaurant is clean. The food was delicious, and the amount of food we received was beyond our expectations. The menu is very diverse with many options to choose from, and breakfast is served all day. The sandwich pictured is the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. The chicken breast is bigger than the bun and I had to cut it into fours to eat! (And still took half of it home) They offer complimentary soup as well. Our drinks never went empty, there's hand sanitizer at each table, and it's an overall homey place. The only thing is, they're only open 6am-3pm. Maybe they will have dinner hours in the future, because I sure wouldn't mind going for supper 😊. I definitely recommend Avon Park Diner if you're looking...

If you're driving down 27 and looking for something good to eat, you have to check this place out. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. The restaurant is very clean the food was very, very good and was served up in a timely manner. So our stop was super long. The prices are average and everyone in the restaurant was happy. Most of the people there seemed like regulars so they must be doing something right. I had the spinach and Feta omelette with the home fries and soft fluffy biscuit that was almost better than my momma's. My husband had the corn beef hash omelette that he couldn't stop talking about after we left. I look forward to when we can return and I highly recommend to everyone! Oh and the ladies room was...
