I had really high hopes for the new BBQ place up the road unfortunately I was disappointed. The burnt end basket for $13 did not come with a side and was quite small (it was packaged in a small styrofoam container and was not close to full). The moose head topper, a grilled chicken breast topped with pulled pork and cheese was also small for $15 (even though the price online and their paper menu was $9.99). There was barely any pork on it and the half chicken breast was the size of 2 chicken nuggets. The quesadilla was laughable. A barely cooked, floppy tortilla with minimal cheese, two small pieces of diced tomatoes on each piece (their pico), and barely any chicken despite paying for an upcharge. For $12 for a quesadilla I expect A LOT MORE. I haven't been this disappointed in takeout in a very long time. An absolute waste of over $40 plus tip. I am heating up a second dinner for me and my fiance as I type.
Edit. After the response from the restaurant. The burnt ends are under seasonal features not appetizers. The paper menu we picked up the day before ordering had the $9.99 price as does your website. I will add the photos. The quesadilla had nothing on it! I'm glad you weigh out the protein, but it also had barely and pico or cheese...thus the two pieces of tomato on each slice...
Read moreThis was a cool place we read the reviews on it before we got there. We drove about an hour to get there. When we walked in there was another couple there other than that we had the place to ourselves it was on Sunday around 1:00 p.m. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful.
My wife got the Smoked Sammy with fries and mac and cheese and she said everything was great.
I ordered a three meat combo consisting of brisket( which I paid extra for) a quarter slab of ribs( which I paid an additional for) and the hot sausage links. For my sides I got the baked beans and the brussel sprouts. The food taste wise was wonderful but it was so dried out I could barely eat it. I was very disappointed with the ribs and brisket. The only saving grace was the hot link sausage was good. The baked beans were undercooked I couldn't even eat them. The cornbread was phenomenal as were the barbecue sauces that I got to try. They were very good also. I might try it again just because I love barbecue but I was disappointed if I'm...
Read moreOrdered Uber eats $43 before tip. Food was very good but while the meats were smoked , I wouldn’t Call it BBQ throwing cold sauce in a cup on the side. Brisket was tasty but I wouldn’t call it lean. Had lots of fat . The shredded bbq chicken came in a little cup plain. The cheese and chicken Quesadilla was tasty with plenty of cheese but lacked in any amount of chicken. Cold slaw was tasty but mushy. The Texas toast was soggy and just a thin piece of white bread. Best of all was the expensive small square of strawberry cheese cake. It is literally CAKE. Probably from Costco. Not the “cheese cake” you would get from Cheesecake Factory. I should have paid closer attention and looked at pics. Otherwise it was TASTY, they are not afraid of salt ( maybe a bit to much) or seasonings . Not a bad place to eat I suppose if you go order...
