To preface my review, I hold corporate restraunt chains to an extremely high standard due to capital availability, venture investments, cash flow, training programs, etc.
This location is doing well. Environment is clean, and customer facing staff were customer service oriented during my visit. I was double charged but it was an honest mistake and immedietly corrected.
I Dined in today at about noon. Vegetables in wok entrees were raw which did effect the flavor profiles. (raw onion & sauteed onion have two very distinct flavors). Celery waste (florets) were mixed in with lo mein and overall side dish tasted dry and bland. A touch of pan and grill oil or olive oil could prevent this and also protect the cabbage from wilting.
One other small suggestion, as a chef, I am deeply annoyed by kitchen timers. The dining room is full of beeps, dings, buzzers, etc. and they are loud and very distracting. If you are using these as a novelty to prove that production staff are responding, then have them do so immedietly as typical guests with no kitchen experience do not absorb these as background noise. Consider turning the volume down on the timers. They are meant to be reminders not fire alarms.
Consider grouping your items. Your customers are smart, but differentiating items as sides, entrees, premium entrees, and add ons would be helpful and move your line along during peak times.
Other than these very small, easiley cured items, I think you are doing wonderful and I would recommend you to friends and...
Read moreNormally, I have nothing but positive things to say about this restaurant in this location however, today 11/15 at the Avon Ohio location I'm very disappointed that I had ordered online and my bag was already tied up with the receipt tied into the bag, so maybe my bad for not checking the bag before we left, but we were in a rush and I got home and realized that we were missing something from the order , I couldn't come back and I asked for a refund for item the worker told me because it was an online order they couldn't refund me my money for that one item that they didn't actually put in my bag I think that's a really bad policy because a lot of people order online and if they screwed up my order and I can prove that I didn't get the item. I don't think that that policy is just. In fairness, they did say if I brought the receipt into the store within the next 30 days I could get said item however said item is not something that we're going to ever order again we had a family friend here that wanted said item and no one in our family will eat it so that person ended up eating something else. I'm not mad at the individual people per se, but if that in fact is the policy of Panda Express, I think that's wrong since it was them...
Read more,, we've gone to this store many many times and I feel like the quality of the food has dropped quite a bit, recently they had a $3 off online order of their new menu item but when we tried to order online it wasn't available for this store oh, when we drove to the store and ask them to use the offer code through their drive-thru they said unfortunately because they're undermanned they can't fill the order and give the $3 discount. I called customer service and explain to them the issue of not being able to order online and getting the discount offer on the last day and they wouldn't even budge, you would figure a company that makes millions of dollars a year would be able to help a customer by giving them a discount to use on their next order but the lady said she couldn't do that. It looks like I'll be eating at the restaurant next door and not using them anymore. , also it seems like they're always out of the teriyaki sauce that you pour over the chicken teriyaki and the ones that come in the packets... the sauce is just nasty, you would think a restaurant would order more than enough to be able to supply customers with enough condiments but this store apparently is trying to cut corners...
