Alright, folks, let's talk Bosa Donuts. I recently popped in, ready for a delightful morning pastry experience, and what I got was... well, let's just say it was an experience.
Three stars, because while it wasn't terrible, it certainly wasn't aiming for the Michelin. More like the "Microwave Star."
First off, the ambiance! Stepping into the eating area at Bosa is like getting a sneak peek behind the curtain of retail. You've got your standard tables and chairs, sure, but then there's the artistic placement of what appears to be their entire stockroom. Boxed goods, cleaning supplies, maybe a spare mop – it's all there, artfully arranged to remind you that, yes, this is a functioning business and not just a magical donut wonderland. It's less "cozy cafe" and more "casual warehouse chic." Points for transparency, I guess?
Then, the pièce de résistance: the croissant with cheese. Oh, the anticipation! The flaky layers! The gooey cheese! And then, the moment of truth... zzzzzzzzt... into the microwave it goes. Now, I'm all for efficiency, but watching my croissant take a hot tub dip in the microwave felt less like artisanal preparation and more like a high school cafeteria reheat. It came out warm, yes, but with a texture that bravely straddled the line between "freshly baked" and "sad sponge." The cheese was melted, which is a win, but at what cost to the croissant's dignity?
The donuts themselves were pretty standard – solid B-team players. The coffee was fine, no complaints there. The staff were friendly, navigating the "storage area dining room" with practiced ease.
So, if you're looking for a quick donut fix and enjoy a bit of avant-garde interior decorating with your breakfast (and don't mind a nuked croissant), Bosa Donuts is your spot. It's got character, just maybe not the kind you expect. Three stars for effort, hilarity, and getting the job done. Just manage your expectations, especially if you're a...
Read moreHusband and I went in to pick up a DoorDash order, to deliver. We walked in and could see the order sitting on the shelf behind the counter. Two employees were helping two other customers. We patiently waited for the employees to finish with the in store customers and waited for someone to greet us so we could grab the order we needed to deliver. The last employee grabbed napkins that were in front of us for the customer she had just finished with, looked us in the face, and then as we went to let her know what we were there for, turned around and walked away from us. We waited for a while before a different employee finally acknowledged us. I do not leave reviews but it felt rude to be looked at, in the eyes, and then completely ignored when we would only be “bothering them” for mere seconds, just enough time for them to hand...
Read moreYum! This is quite the hidden gem when it comes to donuts. My brother brought some over and the kids just went crazy for them. Definitely recommended to stop by. Like other reviews said, the people are always nice. This was the second time we came to purchase and sadly some smoothie flavors were sold out. I love the honeydew. The first time we made a purchase we were given a few extra donuts for free.
[Unrelated to the actual store and service... perhaps because of the cold weather and the increase in the homeless community, there appeared to be heavy signs of loitering behind the building as you use the drive thru. There's a grassy area that's full of trash and it smells...
