Wow! I don't write reviews often but to not to shout out what an amazing job they do here would be a disservice to the people who work so hard there! Let me start by saying I've been coming to this pei wei since I was around 7 I'm 23 now. I have always gotten the same thing ever since I was a kid, terikayki chicken with noodles no veggies. Over the years until I was about to end highschool the food and the service severely deteriorated to the point where my order would get messed up consistently, food would take forever to get done, and staff were just mean. It got to the point where I stopped coming and went to another place even if I was in the mood for some terikayki chicken and noodles. A few months ago I went to this location and ordered again on a whim. When I tell you they have changed and improved drastically it is not an understatement. So much so that I have now been a regular with them the past few months. The food tastes like it did when i was kid and brought back so many nostalgic memories of coming here with my Mom and sister. Its absolutely delicious and they make it exactly the way I like it. The service is where they have truly shined as well, the workers know me by name and have even started to remember my order so much so that I'll just walk in and they will start making my order. It's not just one staff member either I've had multiple kitchen staff and the cashiers recognize myself. I never expect anyone to memorize my order even if I'm a regular but it adds an extra layer of care that not many other food places bother to try. I believe a large part of this is due to their new general manager, Alex, I've talked with him almost every time I'm there and he truly cares about his staff and what work theyre doing. The previous gm i don't think I ever even saw outside the back once. Which goes to show that a good manager is out with his staff doing the same work and really doing thier best to help improve the customer experience. I appreciate the entire staff here and thank them from the bottom of my heart and giving me back a piece of one of my favorite childhood dishes. Give this place a try you will not regret it I'm certainly grateful I gave them...
Read moreThis is nuts! I order pei wei a few times a month on my App, and my order is almost always wrong. I placed another order today for a pickup at 4:30. I received a confirmation notice that my order was placed and received a confirmation number. I sent my son to pick up the food at 4:30, and they not only didn’t have my food ready, but said they didn’t receive my order, even though I received a confirmation order number. After my son waited 40 minutes, he called me and told me he was still waiting. I called the restaurant and the “employee” had no clue what she was doing and handed the phone to “someone else”, who, in my opinion, had no clue what she was doing either! She then told me that all of their online orders were cancelled due to computer issues and only one line cook. So, after a lengthy discussion, I had to reorder the entire meal, then got charged twice for the food, and my son had to wait an additional 45 minutes for them to “re-make” my order that was supposed to be ready at 4:30. I totally understand being “short staffed”, and having technical issues, but it seemed as though no one there had any competency whatsoever. It’s really frustrating, as we really like Pei Wei, and always order regularly, despite all the mistakes and problems we encounter there. I’m just a frustrated customer right now, and will not only not be recommending this Pei Wei to my family and friends, but will no longer be placing orders there as a result of my many bad experiences. These are hard times for most people economically and financially. We don’t order out as much as we would like to, but it’s so disappointing to continue to get poor customer service, wrong orders every time and frustrating...
Read moreWaited at the register with no one in line for 6 min for someone to take the order. Then waited 18 min for an utter disappointment of 2 entrees. There was little meat and veg on the rice and next to no sauce. $40 for 2 entrees and 2 shareable menu items. Save your money and go somewhere else. Edit: here's the dismissive response from corporate.
Hello John,

At Pei Wei, we take pride in ensuring guest satisfaction. Unfortunately, we did not meet your—or our own— expectations. I can promise that we will work very hard to re[1]earn your trust and to show you what a great job our team can do. We value every opportunity to correct a situation where we have gone wrong. I am hopeful that you will provide us an opportunity to make it up to you on a future visit. Please be sure to introduce yourself to our General Manager, Susan, the next time you dine with us. I know she will want to apologize in person and do everything possible to ensure your experience is exactly what you expect from us.
