Stopped in last Saturday and I am still thinking of their naan! We arrived shortly after 5:00. Parking is not an issue and it's a pretty large restaurant. We were seated immediately, waters came out quickly, and drink orders were taken shortly after. They have an extensive menu. The mango lassi was perfect: thick enough that it took awhile to drain from the straw, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Their non-vegetarian assorted snack platter was a good beginning. My sister enjoyed her beef shish kabob, and I the beef korma. It was a bit odd, though, that the rice was a side dish and was not included in the meal. I am used to it being included, but not a deal breaker. The cheese naan was hot with a large amount of cheese and let me say the beef korma / rice lasted me for four days after. Granted, we did have the naan and appetizer platter so I did not eat a lot of the korma, but I sure enjoyed my four days of lunches later! :-) Despite not eating my meal completely, we still ordered dessert. The pistachio kulfi was awesome, and the rasmalai as well. Man, I should have ordered a mango lassi and rasmalai to-go. India Gate is definitely worth the drive from Laveen, and deserves the five star rating. P.S. The staff was all attentive and friendly.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at India Garden, and I must say, it was a good experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming ambiance set the stage for a delightful meal. The menu is diverse, offering a range of traditional Indian dishes that cater to both vegetarians and meat-lovers alike. I decided to start with the the Garlic Shrimp, which was perfectly spiced and had a great balance of flavors. The [main dish], however, stole the show. The Tika Masala was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was a burst of spices, and the textures were just right. One thing that stood out was the quality of the naan bread — fluffy on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside, ideal for scooping up the delicious sauces. The service was prompt and attentive, with the staff going out of their way to make sure everything was to our liking. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food provided. Overall, Indian Garden is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu! Rating: 5/5

I was really excited to try this place and ended up not very happy… First of all, rude that none of the dishes come with rice, and then I thought well they must just give you a hearty portion for that price then, nope wrong again. To add plain basmati rice is an extra $3 and it doesn’t have any kind of flavor to it at all, nor is it a large portion. The naan is flat and dry. The seasonings also fell flat. I have never been so underwhelmed by Indian food before! Usually the dishes are bursting with flavor but that was not the case at all :( We tried the madras vegetables and a variation of paneer that were both BORING!! Also, ordered the veggie combo appetizer, which was supposed to come with 2 of each kind of vegetable appetizer and as you can see in the picture, that was not the case! VERY disappointed:( Another note is that we asked for extra sauce, which the server wrote on the ticket, and we did not receive it. Sad :( Also they don’t change the white tablecloths in between people eating on the tables so the tables are not clean!

Skip this place.

The price point is way off. They charged $21+ for 6 small shrimp, some sliced green/red peppers and onions, and less than 4 ounces of underdeveloped sauce. They didn't even serve it with rice, that was extra $$$. (The rice was also bland and slightly mushy)

The biryani was also mushy and bland, though the portion was more reasonable.

Dishes were ordered "Hot" spice level, which they said was like an 8/10 heat level. It was more like a 2/10. My wife had the mid-heat and there wasn't any heat.

Service was non-existent as they never offered refills on their 'Indian Tea' advertised with free refills. Other than to drop off food, they weren't concerned with checking on us.

The service time was way too long. It was 15 minutes before they took our order. Followed by 30 minutes to wait for the food, and they weren't even that busy. What we thought would be a quick stop for dinner, turned into our whole evening and cut our other plans short.

The place is drab, overly dark, and no real sound buffer to stop you from hearing everyone talking. Doesn't help that half of the dining room is a buffet-turned-storage, which ultimately just makes...
