After driving past this restaurant many times I decided to finally give it a try! That is a decision I now regret, my experience was terrible from the beginning. I was dining alone last night for dinner since my family wasn’t with me, after walking in the host said there was a 30 minute wait for a table but the bar was open seating, at that moment a couple of 2 came back up and said the corner of the bar was too congested so they wanted to instead wait for a table, I figured since I was dining alone I would just go to the corner of the bar where they left from and avoid the wait. The service was terrible from the moment I sat down, I waited several minutes for one of the servers/bartenders to finally approach and upon asking what I wanted to drink I said a Pepsi please (I rarely drink alcohol due to medication I take but still chose to sit at the bar to avoid the wait), and the bartender scoffed and looked visibly irritated I didn’t order a bar drink. There is no rule stating you have to drink alcohol when sitting at the bar top and I have never seen anyone get an attitude over ordering a soda before. Even though I didn’t order their “Specialty Drinks” which looked unappealing to begin with I am still a paying customer and purchased a drink and food order. After I received my beverage and the bartender immediately walked away, only to approach again several minutes later asking what are you going to order? I decided to try their Crispy Chili Rellanos in an Eggroll wrapping which I was very excited to see on the menu, that is a dish served in pretty much all Colorado Mexican Restaurants but this was the first restaurant I’ve seen in Arizona that has the Crispy Chili Rellanos in an eggroll wrapping and I’ve been wanting to have them again for a long time. I placed my order and then had to ask several times after waiting over 15 minutes if I could please get some chips and salsa before my meal arrived before someone finally brought them. The chips and salsa were good but that was the only part of the meal I enjoyed. After finally receiving my order, I was excited to try it but ultimately ended up entirely disappointed in the meal overall. The Chili Rellanos were extremely overcooked, the outer shell was a dark burnt brown color instead of a perfectly fried golden hue leaving them with a horrible taste, after that they were topped with wilted and soggy lettuce shreds and powdered PARMESAN CHEESE, I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant that puts Parmesan cheese on their food.. It’s Fiesta Mexicana not Olive Garden. The beans were okay, standard Mexican restaurant style refried beans but the rice was absolutely terrible. It was cold and had absolutely no flavor or seasoning, horrible texture, and was filled with peas, again something I’ve never seen as part of Mexican Rice. It was below the quality of Rice a Roni. The bartender/server never once checked back to ask how the meal was, if I needed anything else, if everything was okay, etc. If there was any level of decent service I most definitely would’ve sent this dish back or asked to speak to a manager if given the opportunity but when the bartender doesn’t even come by to check on their patrons that wasn’t even an option. After giving up on this restaurant I just simply asked for the check and when I finally received it paid over $25 dollars for this terrible experience. Rude service, terrible food, and extremely overpriced. 0/5 do not recommend and will...
Read moreI recently noticed this restaurant and since my family and I love Mexican food, we gave it a try. First of all the decor and music was on point, unfortunately everything else was disappointing. The food was ok, but it didn’t wow us. I ordered the chili verde and when it arrived the pork, rice and beans were bland & cold. My wife loves shredded beef enchiladas with green sauce, but the menu only offered it with red sauce. The waiter offered to make it with green sauce, but later we discovered that little change cost us an extra $2.40. My youngest son loves chocolate milk, so he ordered one with his meal. After receiving our bill, we found out this small kids chocolate milk cost us $3.90. $3.90 for a small chocolate milk? Seriously! So after receiving the bill, I just wanted to leave, but before we did I asked our waiter for a to-go cup for my sons $3.90 chocolate milk. After asking for the cup a large group of seniors came in. You would have thought they were about to host the Oscars, because they figuratively rolled out the red carpet for them. After that party came in, our waiter pretty much abandoned us. It took them 10 minutes to get that little to-go cup, by completely different. So why am I making such a big deal, $72, that’s why. I don’t mind spending good money on a good meal, but $72 for a middle class family of 4 is too much. My son was the only one who ordered a drink, the rest of us just had water. I don’t normally post reviews about restaurants, but I had to express my honest experience about this place so that everyone has a fair warning. We will more than likely never return, but if you go, I sincerely hope you have a better experience than we did.

Read moreI'm amazed at how cavalier the shift manager was about the mistakes of my order. I ordered enchilada carnitas, which comes with pico da gallo and a green sauce. I received the food and the enchilada carnitas was full of green peppers and onions. There was no green sauce and no pico de gallo. I would never have ordered this meal of I had known what it had in it as it and wasn't stated on the menu. The manager was our waitress and I told her about it. She said the ingredients was on the menu and there was green sauce on the enchilada. I checked the menu with her and on the very back of the menu it stated the ingredients. However, it was not stated on the menu item that I ordered from in the middle of the menu. I said, how would I have known what was in it based on where I ordered from. She just kept saying it was in the menu and then said, "I'm not going to argue with you" very hostile. She kept telling me there was sauce on my enchilada because she could see green on my plate. I disagreed and said there was none and no pico de gallo. Then I told her there was nothing I expected from the error except to let the cook know about his mistake, thanked her and left. After I removed the green peppers and onions from the enchilada I enjoyed the meal which was good. Even without the pico de gallo! Will ask questions from wait person after this to ensure that I know what the ingredients on food from now on. My rating is based on the managers behavior and...
