I have eaten here 5 times. The food was fresh and delicious. To begin with, I want to say that the food here is definitely not cheap if you're bringing the family. Unfortunately, the service received here was unexceptable for any type of restaurant. I was inside. I was with my daughter stopping in near her volleyball game location. 2 out of 3 times I was seated and forgot about. I wasn't seated outside, as you might think, I was inside. No one even offered us a glass of water for at least 20 minutes. By this time, I watched 6 or 7 other parties come in and be seated. I got up and found a waiter and asked why no one had come to our table. He came to our table and took our order promptly. 30 minutes later, after watching the same 7 tables seated after me all getting there food and we still had an empty table. It was so bad the couple sitting next to us saw how long we had been sitting there while others got their food, and they began complaining to the wait staff about the situation. The crazy part is 3 different servers came to check on them during this time. (If you ever go here you will notice there are only 2 or 3 servers working at a time and a host that floats around the place) The sodas we ordered tasted like a spring aspirin had been dissolved in them. I mentioned this to the server, and they came back and assured me it was something with the sweetener and carbonation mix, but the problem was fixed. Nope, it's the same horrible taste for coke and the sprite. By now we had been seated for just over 50 minutes. Our food never came, tho we were assured by 2 different wait staff that it was coming soon. The customers next to us began to plead with the staff about the disservice they were observing. After an hour and 15 minutes my daughter and I left the restaurant with no food ever coming to our table. After speaking with the employees there was never anything done to try to make the situation right , at all! This review is already too long so I won't try to describe what happened each visit. My daughter and I came back the very next day because we felt like we had heard about the great sushi and wanted to give it another try. Our second visit was a success. I brought my wife the third time everything was fine. I brought my mother the fourth time and everything was fine, no complaints. The only thing I will say is that there is something definitely wrong with their soda fountain machine because every time we have been there the soda tastes like aspirin and we end up just letting it sit or send it back. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. The 5th and final time we went was nothing more than a repeat of the first time we sat for 20 minutes before anyone even approached our table to ask about water. We waited another 40 minutes to get our food. It was so bad my wife wanted to just walk out of the restaurant. We did wait this time for our food to finally come out but we have never been back. And once again there was nothing said or done about this type of customer service except being told sorry and looked at like we were the ones with...
Read moreI’ve been on a search for sushi restaurants lately, and this restaurant was recommended by a coworker. Tonight was my chance to come and experience Sushi Love. The restaurant is located in an obscure place in the mall. Upon entering it’s only one door to enter into the restaurant. Seating seems cramped, and there were four seats at the bar/sushi bar; with patio seating available too. The menu is dark, and there’s quite a list of rolls; sushi; sashimi; and other appetizers and entrees. My server was okay. I gave my drink order for water and Sprite, and the mixed tempura appetizer. The appetizer arrived, and I then added the Caterpillar Roll for my entree. The menu said 6 pc of shrimp and vegetables. What came was more like 12… 3 pcs each of shrimp, onion rings, zucchini, and egg plant. The appetizer was fine; and came with a sauce that had some good flavor. The pieces could have been covered with a thicker tempura batter, and a bigger cup or ramekin to make it easier to dip the pieces into. My entree arrived with wasabi and pickled ginger. It was a good roll; having about eight pieces. When I finished, I wanted to try the yellowtail nigiri. Two pieces to the order. It was fine; having good rice, and a good size piece of tuna. Looking over the menu I didn’t see anything like rainbow trout. There were other selections of tuna, salmon, eel, shrimp, crab, and roe. Even saw halibut. I paid my check that came to a total of $40.26 after tax. Before going I used the restroom. It’s a cramped corridor as the staff does work in the corner. I saw one unisex bathroom; there may have been another down the corridor - IDK 🤷♂️. Inside the bathroom is clean. Only issue is no paper towels or hand dryer. I made my exit… not too bad of an experience. There’s room for improvement, no doubt about that, but it’s not awful. I may visit again if...
Read moreWe gave this place a try based on the stellar reviews, however we left completed disappointed and never got our food.
We were seated and given menus and it took the waiter about 15 minutes to come back to take our drink order and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Completely unacceptable as waters and drink orders should have been taken with in a few minutes after guests are seated.
My friend and I ordered a nigiri set and an appetizer and it took again a little over a half hour before we were served the small appetizer and no mention about our main course. Asked the waiter several times regarding our order with the same lame excuse....the chef is still working on it?
It has almost reached an hour and we were with no food and the couple who came 20 mins after us were already served their whole order and eating while we were still waiting.
We were completely disappointed, hungry, and told the waiter to get our check. Then another 10 minutes goes by before the check was given with no apologies and this idiot was still trying to get us to stay and said the chef is still working on our order and it should be anytime now. This clown thinks it's ok for us to wait another 30mins to get our food when it has already been an hour since we were seated.
Called to speak with the owner and a guy by the name of Jared finally came to the phone. I didn't believe Jared was the owner by the way he handled the complaint and was rude and sarcastic. Unfortunately the conversation did not go well as he was trying to speak over me the whole time and giving a lame generic excuse and then hangs up phone. Great job.....keep up the good work buddy! It is very unlikely that this guy was the owner.
If you want to be mistreated and waste your time, this is...
