This place was definitely the most disgusting experience from the under cooked food, old bitter coffee, no silverware, the rude service and the disrespectful argumentative owner/ manager. This place can definitely be on the news for the type of treatment you get here. My mother, son and I decided to come to breakfast, (we love to supporting small businesses) and we are not ones to complain. However, as a paying customer we should be able to let them know when things donāt taste right especially if you start feeling sick.
I had ordered the chicken fried steak (but itās listed as beef) and I was totally okay with either one, after taking the first bite I found it had a weird taste, so I thought maybe the second bite would be different- but no, it was horrible! I felt sick almost immediately after taking 2 small bites.(note: The eggs were also very runny and my son loves eggs- he could not bare the taste or sight of them). After explaining to the waitress she made no attempt to sympathize, offer anything else or simply remove it from the bill. She acted as if it was my fault it tasted the way it did. So I politely asked to talk to the manager about it. After explaining to this supposed āmanager/ownerā he argued about how popular it was and was reluctant to even listen to my concerns as I felt sick. He then said āwell Iāll charge you for the hot cakesā The meal came with 2 hotcakes, but the menu list 3- I asked the waitress and she said the menu was not updated and didnāt make sense at allā¦to then be up charged for 4 pancakes that I didnāt even get. At this point, I felt itās now about the principal and now being treated unfairly out of spite. As we went to talk to the supposed āmanagerā yet once again, he said he was not going to do anything else about it. After I told him this is fraudulent and not right as a paying customer to be up-charged as additional punishment ā¦to then be approach as we were leaving by one of the 2 older men sitting talking about the incident who I believe was the real āmanagerā cursing and yelling at us in front of my 67 year old mother and 10 year old son. Quit on quote āget the āF out of the his restaurant and never come backā I in turn told him I promise I wonāt- a whilst heās cursing and getting so confrontational that my own mother and son thought he was going to hit me- and let me reiterate this was all in-front of other paying customers with small kids and elders with-in ear shot! I couldnāt believe the behavior, I was blown away by the lack of many things. Lack of respect, disgraceful & failing customer service, and professionalism. These 2 men should be ashamed of themselves!!
Again, I told them I would never recommend anyone to this type of establishment the way they treat their customers. It was belittling and down right embarrassing for everyone.
It was overall disgusting on all levels. I really hope no one else has to go through this type of treatment, yet alone get sick from their nasty slop they call food like I did.
I would love for 3 on your side or the city health inspector take a look into this place.
I would highly recommend not ever stepping into this place. Even if it was free. Negative stars! This place needs to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friends and I had a very unfortunate experience there. It initially started out with the server having a poor attitude about needing to arrange tables for a group of 10. Once we were all sat, the server proceeded to take our orders, she was rushing everyone, arguing about specifics people wanted for their orders, was not really open to substitutions and just seemed not interested in serving our table. We had a few people who had food accommodations needing to be met (no pork- this will be of importance later) not too long after, the food started to come out, our server was calling out plates but no one was claiming them because there was either something wrong or missing from the orders, it was all a very confusing couple of minutes. As a server, you should have somewhat of an idea as to who ordered what and where it goes. Next, the "no pork" individuals received their plates with BACON. Multiple people at our table were missing food items, plates were wrong and taken back to the kitchen 3+ times. We finally asked for a manager, manager proceeded to chat with the table and then started blaming the server for her attitude (which, she did have a bad attitude) The worker and manager started arguing back and forth in front of our table, which was completely unprofessional. 5 of our plates were taken back to the kitchen, as people were no longer willing to eat their food (rightfully so) BUT THEN, the owner came out and began to yell at our table. He told us all to leave because he wasn't going to allow people to sit at his tables for free after sending our food back. He voiced his annoyance at the "no pork" eaters and proceeded to bully, harass and embarrass our whole group. We are shocked, saddened and disgusted by the treatment we received today. We will never been returning to this establishment, nor will we be recommending this place to anyone. ADDING more info I recently discovered, apparently the owners staff don't even feel comfortable working at this place. The owner sets up cameras to watch the staff and intimidate them. Doesn't seem like a pleasant place to work or eat at, the owner is also petty enough to reply to peoples reviews and argue back, as opposed to taking accountability for the poor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I have frequented TJ's on Sunday mornings for quite some time. We have ALWAYS been served by Maria and have ALWAYS had an enjoyable experience. This morning, things were far from our usual experiences. As we arrived, Maria happened to be coming by. She said hello and spent all of 10 seconds greeting us before being berated by who we learned was one of the owners. I imagine this was quite embarrassing for Maria. Because of this, we were seated at a table with a familiar face but new waitress for us. She filled in EXCELLENTLY for Maria. Great communication, prompt service and a delightful attitude. About 1/2 way through our meal, she approached our table in tears. She told us she was leaving and had just been fired. She went to the table next to us as well and let them know what had happened. We were in shock. I opened my wallet and made sure she was tipped by us while my 19 year old daughter walked her outside to make sure she was ok. Soon after, Maria came back, also in tears and said she was leaving. At this point, I got up to look for the lunatic owner who had just mistreated both of these ladies in full public view. When I went to the front, I noticed shattered glass wear and strewn boxes, apparently a result of his erratic behavior and he was nowhere to be seen. An elderly lady who I have since learned is his mother was left to attempt to clean up his mess. I expressed my anger and disbelief when another gentleman, another partial owner of the restaurant, wanted to tell us that there were two sides of the story. Just as he did not want to "argue" with me and walked off, I honestly do not care what his side was, those ladies were treated like trash because of these two egomaniacs. The place appears to be ran by fear. My family and I will never again step foot in this place as long as those cowards are running the show. I have reached out to restaurant contacts in the West Valley in an attempt to help the young lady that was fired find a new job where she is treated with respect. I wish I could help all of the staff find a new job and teach those so called owner's the lesson...
