Warning: This place is dangerously addictive and may cause spontaneous apartment hunting in the area.
I walked into Pressed + Flower expecting a quick caffeine fix and instead found my new life goal: figuring out how to legally move into a coffee shop. The vibe here is so impossibly cozy that I’m convinced they’ve somehow managed to bottle the essence of teddy bear and sprinkle it into the air conditioning system.
Steffi, the barista, is an absolute gem who somehow manages to be both professionally skilled and genuinely delightful – a rare combination that should probably be studied by Gen Z-ers. She crafted my matcha with the kind of care usually reserved for newborn babies or priceless artifacts, and honestly, the end result tasted like liquid happiness had been whisked into submission.
The matcha itself? It was so good that I considered asking if they offered a matcha IV drip service for ultimate efficiency. Rich, creamy, with that perfect balance that makes you question why you ever settled for gas station coffee in the first place.
But here’s the real kicker – the atmosphere is so uniquely cozy that I found myself unconsciously researching local real estate prices. The space has this magical quality where you want to bring a book, your laptop, your entire life’s belongings, and maybe a sleeping bag just in case. It’s like if a Pinterest board and a warm hug had a baby, and that baby grew up to become a coffee shop.
Fair warning: You might find yourself becoming one of those people who “has a spot” and gets genuinely territorial about your favorite corner table. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Will definitely be back (probably tomorrow after Apartment hunting if I’m being honest).
Highly recommended for: Coffee lovers, matcha enthusiasts, anyone seeking their new spiritual home, people who enjoy being pampered by lovely baristas, and humans who appreciate spaces that feel...
Read moreI have been to and reviewed many coffee shops across many states and countries over the course of many years. I have to say that pressed + flower ranks as my favorite coffee shop as it is one that has put full attention to the quality of coffee, atmosphere and service.
This place is designed with the goal of maximizing the consumer experience. Every design detail complements the vibe of providing a homey feel while you are enjoying a nice cup of coffee. Food and pastries are served to you on nice wooden plates, as if you are eating at a friend’s place. There is ample seating, with your choice to sit inside or outside (front and back!). There are board games, comfortable seats, and even live music that is played occasionally. The staff are incredibly friendly, with impeccable service. This is truly a unique coffee shop and will be very hard to find anywhere else. If you are a student at Azusa you are incredibly lucky, as I would be going here on a daily basis if I were a student.

Read moreThe matcha is phenomenal, and so is the atmosphere. This feels like a great place to come for studying (or on a first date) The vibes are immaculate.
There’s small plants everywhere (some for purchase) and a plethora of party games for hang out sessions. They also have a TON of options for the none coffee drinkers in your life. Like a ridiculous variety of cold drinks and snacks you don’t usually see, and the familiar ones too.
It seems like they’re trying to incorporate local businesses which I love. They even donate coffee grounds (so if you’re into Gardening/composting it’s worth it to stop by just for that)
Small Macaroons for .75 which were decently fresh? Wasn’t expecting that.
Got the Lavender Bee this time around, I usually don’t like floral drinks, but this one totally worked for me. I wanna try it iced next time.
I’ll definitely be coming back soon to review more...
