This place is sad.

If allowed I’d give it ZERO STARS.

From the servers to the man who prepares the sushi rolls and the rolls themselves.

I was excited to try this place out.

They have a strict serving schedule.

I finally waltzed in. The vibe is not a vibe.

It’s kinda depressing.

I ordered a spicy tuna roll for starters and to try it out.

The man preparing the rolls had the absolute worst demeanor. I don’t like to judge a book by its cover. So I sat there and watched him prepare my roll.

I sat at the sushi bar. I saw this man preparing my one roll. He seemed the most unhappiest sushi roll maker I’ve ever encountered in my life.

So, of course, my sushi roll was just as sad as the restaurant, the servers and this man behind the sushi counter.

I got up, started walking out, and I said: “I’m not eating that sad sushi roll.”

The man behind the sushi bar started yelling at me in his language.

This spicy tuna sushi roll was the most saddest, slapped together roll I’ve ever seen.

I wasn’t going to eat that nor pay for it.

I walked out and let the man continue to verbally abuse me in his own language.

I would never recommend a place like this.

Specially if the attitude is the worst.

I can overlook poor decor, lack of staffing, and other things, but the attitude; NEVER.

Not to mention the “saddest” roll ever.

Stay away from this place.

“May the force be...

I was on my way to Big Bear from L.A. Friday, the 28th of June. France was matched with the U.S. for a quarter final in the Women's World Cup. I was hoping to find a nice spot to watch when I spotted a quaint little bright red sushi restaurant in downtown Azusa. The staff were so pleasantly accommodating in finding the broadcast channel, with slight difficulty, and providing me a great seat for viewing. I was able to make my order, get a drink and get comfortable just as the match began. My sushi came in a promt and quite appealing fashion. It was as well crafted, attractively presented, more importantly, as tasty as I've had. Price was was spot on and the three staff members that served me were super, personable throughout the approximately 2 hours I was their guest. Definitely recommend and will absolutely dine there again, should the occasion once again occur. There's so much more I'd love to try... writing from Spokane...

this place is good, compared to the options in the area, this place is great. We we're there last night, valentines day, they were slammed, tons of orders, full tables. The waitress was great, and handled it gracefully. Sure, things were slow, but thats to be expected when they were so busy.

but the 1 star, and the ultimately the reason why i dont think i'll be going back - halfway through our meal another employee (owner?) showed up to work, but also brought along a small dog. the dog was walking freely back and forth between the kitchen and dining area, and barking at people. theres places dogs are ok, sure, but restaurant...

Looks pretty good, but not the freshest which is obviously an issue when it comes to sushi. The oysters were the biggest issue. They tasted like the ones you get in a jar at the market seafood section. I wouldn’t have minded if they were not advertised as fresh. If they weren’t from a jar, than I’m a little worried and hope I don’t get sick 🤕 the rest of the food was edible, but didn’t have much flavor. Even the lettuce in my salad was wilted. The dressing was delicious though and best part of the meal was the miso soup. Great flavors. Service was just ok. It was dead for a Friday night, which should have been the warning, but live and learn.

The we ordered the baked salmon roll and the crunchy shrimp. Both were so good. Melt in your mouth good. We also had some beers, the small mugs were ice cold, refreshing for washing down the sushi and getting ready for the Ramen. While not spicy it packed flavor and was perfectly hot. I really dislike when places give you warm soup. I loved the taste and temperature of their ramen. I am definitely coming back to this place. I feel I should mention the excellent customer service. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😁

This is a small sushi restaurant located in downtown Covina. There were 3 tables, 1 server, and a chef. Service was very fast. We ordered salmon sashimi, pink lady (no carb), beef teriyaki, mix tempura, and yellowtail collar. Al the food was well seasoned and flavorful. None of the cooked dishes were over or under cooked. I gave 4 stars because it was pricy. Portion seemed small, and we have to keep ordering more food. The total was $80 for 2 people. Street parking is available.
