Very fond childhood memories of this store in particular even though it's owned by a new owners the atmosphere is still the same. In the mid-to-late 80s as a child me and my siblings and friends from the nearby elementary School Henry Dalton elementary used to frequent this very store, there was actually also a payphone booth right next to the A to z liquor store sign which is now gone of course lol. alot of our parents knew the store owners at the time and even their kids went to school with me and my friends and my family he had a son named Ricardo Rodriguez and his older sister Rena Rodriguez just don't want her the time was named also Ricardo senior he had a wife named Rena they were of Latin descent, and they were very nice people I know everybody very well was very close tight-knit community right across the street from the store at the corner used to be a bakery I don't know what it is now. After 41 years I revisited the town I grew up in Azusa my first stop was this very store A to z. Is was very nostalgic for me to come back after so many years and to retrace my steps to and from my elementary school to the very house I grew up in nearby on 11th and Holmar St. I miss and I love Azusa still my home now is in Downtown Los Angeles. It is very refreshing and very wonderful to still see this store up and running and still filled with the same atmosphere as it was when I was a child, very helpful well-stocked, clean an accessible. Also, during my most recent visit, none of the store associates wore masks, and were chatting within very close proximity.
