I ended up trying Shuyi after seeing it pop up on Google. I wanted to try their grass jelly and mango pomelo drinks. I ordered through doordash and picked up. Even though I scheduled it for a certain time, they made the drink way to early leading to dilution from the ice. When I went inside to pick up, the workers did not even greet or pay attention to anything as they were just busy making drinks. Very robotic and lacking human interaction.

The mango pomelo sago did not have any pomelo and the mango pieces were mostly the pit. It was impossible to chew through all the fibrous mango. This drink was a huge failure and I would not recommend. It was not refreshing at all and it had a weird aftertaste like I was eating Durian or something that I strongly do not like.

The signature grass jelly tea had a lot of toppings and was the winner of this visit. I ordered a medium size, but the amount of toppings felt like this drink needed to be an extra large as the liquid portion was very little in comparison. The grass jelly and peanuts along with the red beans were savory and complimented the drink well. I asked them to omit the raisins.

They put the pick up drinks in a nice insulated bag which I thought was clever. I also noticed that they were selling Labubu monsters in here.

I think the mango pomelo drink was overpriced and not worth at around $9 vs the signature tea which was...

🍵✨ What makes this place truly special is the quality of their tea and the creativity of using mochi as a topping! 🥰 I ordered the 🥭 Mango Pomelo Sago, and my wife had the ❄️ Snowy Oolong Milk Tea with soft, chewy 🟡 mochi — both were absolutely delicious!

Unlike other boba shops, the tea flavor here is rich 🍃, balanced, and not overly sweet — perfect for real tea lovers 💯. The Mango Pomelo Sago (🌿 caffeine-free) was fragrant and refreshing — I could actually taste real 🥭 mango slices and 🍊 pomelo, not the usual artificial syrup most big brands use. 💛

Affordable 💵, fresh 🌱, and flavorful — a must-try for anyone who loves milk tea for the TEA 🍶, not the sugar bomb...

Shuyi DMV is hands down one of the best drink spots I’ve ever been to. My absolute favorite is the Avocado Coconut- it’s creamy, refreshing even without additional sugar. The grass jelly is also super smooth, and everything here feels thoughtfully made with high-quality ingredients.

The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, and the vibe of the store is cute and clean. I would say the environment together with their drinks are quite instagramable.

I’ve already recommended this place to several friends, and they all loved it too. If you’re looking for delicious, consistent, and comforting drinks, this...

The bubble tea is top-notch—rich, flavorful, and not overly sweet. They offer a great variety of options, including unique ingredients like grass jelly and peanuts that set them apart from other shops. The space is clean and inviting, with a modern design that’s great for hanging out or grabbing a drink on the go. The staff were friendly and helpful. This newly opened spot has quickly become one of my favorites in the area.
