Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Well I’m struggling dad of a family of 7 and today I decided to take my kids out to eat at least once a month, we came to this restaurant as we were getting ready to pay to the girl up front named VALERIE !!! I was counting 80 dollars (4) 20s and one of the 20s rip from the top I asked her if she had tape she said hold on then she came back and told me that her manager Julie that’s the name she gave me said that we couldn’t pay with that 20 I said why not it’s the only money I have she said no we couldn’t pay with it. If we could pay a different way on a card I used my card causing me to get an over draft fee of 35 dollars plus that 65 dollars because I don’t hav want money and I was to embarrassed for my kids. I asked Valerie multiple times who her manager name was and she continue to laugh and not give me her managers name until I raised my voice and said I’m asking you who’s your manager and that’s when she said Julie and not even like that a Julie came out. First Time Customer using Gift Cards for Family Dinner. We arrived roughly 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. I want to emphasize the importance or reading their signs that guide you for Inside Parking and Drive Thru Entry. By following the signs we went into the drive thru and we were greeted by friendly staff. I'm not afraid to say "first time customer we don't know what to get". We got some guidance on whats popular and made our order. They took a name for the order and by the time we drove to the other side to pay, our order was ready. One employee to take the order, another employee to take the payment and a third handing out the food. All polite and welcomed a "good evening greeting". I never felt rushed or anything less than a friend while getting served there. The OG Chicken sandwich was our favorite, we also love that the sandwiches don't come with any extra sauces... never fear because they have plenty to give you. So I'll add to my review. The food, service and atmosphere are still a 5 star, but I don't see where we can rate the employees. I am disabled and when using the restroom, I have to have the disability stall for the bars. I go in today at 10:45 to use the restroom only to have the disability stall occupied. No problem, I'll wait my turn. So as I'm standing there, I can see an employee shoes. Just sitting on the toilet. No noise coming from the stall, just sitting there. So I wait about 5 minutes and decide to rush home to use the restroom instead. This employee made it very difficult for a disabled customer to use the facilities. I assume she was taking a break and checking her phone. If you are not disabled, then use the regular stalls. Disabled people need the use of the bars to help them up and down off the toilet hole.
