I have been in this Del Taco twice in the last two weekends, both times around noon. Both times I requested that someone take our order at the counter. Both times I encountered an unfriendly borderline hostile employee that refused the request. They directed us to use one of several kiosks. I again repeated the request and they said the same reply, not friendly at all. The first time Sunday the 24th, we started to leave, and were asked by an employee sitting in the corner table by the door if he could help us. We told this man what happened and he stopped his break and went to the front and took our order. The food that day was good. Yesterday Saturday the 30th, we started to walk out again after encountering the unwelcoming lady in glasses. We got to the door to leave, and I went back to the counter to ask the unpleasant lady if it was worth it to her that we walk out and talk our money with us. I DID NOT say that, as another lady stepped up and offered to take our order. The glasses lady argued with the helpful lady, the one helping said "it is OK", and continued to finish taking our order. This time the tacos were not made well, there was not much meat or cheese. So we were punished for pushing back about kiosks. The order also took long to come out. If the manager or owner reads this just know that some of your employees would rather see customers walk out of your place before they will take our order. I do not know if we will return. Also both times we were in there it was an empty dining room void of customers. Why is it that the two employees who denied us service were so unfriendly, so unwelcoming? They had crew members standing by the counter and in the prep area. The second visit, the unwelcoming BS was accented by $28 worth of inferior tacos. EDIT 9/3/25 After the same cookie cutter response from the owner, why should I bother with further contact with Del Taco. There is a culture of bad service and crappy attitude...
Read moreThis place must have a hard time finding good workers considering they hired one of the most ignorant persons I've ever come across. I don't expect smart people at a fast food restaurant, but I do expect employees to be cordial. This place clearly lacks this basic trait. This is usually a standard set by management so it's safe to say their manager lacks this trait. Consequently, the establishment employs people that display a lack of work ethic, self- respect, motivation, good character, listening skills, and ability to follow basic instructions. In conclusion, if an employee intentionally tries to spill soda on your car because you asked them for sauce, they need to pursue another career. I hope this person amounts to something in life where they don't require interaction with...
Read moreDel Taco is my favorite taco fast food restaurant of all time for two reasons: good Cal Mex food, and they are consistent. Well they were until now. They left two items out of our order the first time, trip two it was cold and we learned that they ignore any kind of special request (ie extra cheese ect) and tonight they hit the trifecta it was cold, they left sour cream off our entire order including where we ordered extra, and they left our cheesecake bites off the order and the churros we ordered for the kids had one package of two (like they were supposed to come and then two packages with one churro each. I don't know how how these people expect to make a living....crafts maybe?...
