Very disappointed with la Costa. Starting with the face of the restaurant (ENRIQUE) so called manager. I took my family for a what was supposed to be a nice dinner and it turned out to be a total disaster. Initially they said the wait time was 20-30 minutes, so I put our name on the waiting list which was supposed to be first come first serve as per Enrique the so called manager after a 59 minutes had passed I asked again the manager (Enrique) how much more time for us to be seated and he very rudely answered that it was first come first serve and I told him there were people that had arrived after me and were already seated and he said because I had a party of 6 he had to give other parties priority when clearly they were parties over 6 as well. The weather was 110 and I had my elderly mother and my 4 year old child and my elderly mother needed a glass of water (remember she had already been waiting 50+ minutes in 110 heat and she went in to ask for water and the same manager (Enrique) told her very rudely to get out of his way and go wait outside until her name was called. I am shocked at the lack of respect toward a senior citizen! (he didn't even offer to try to accommodate her inside while we were called) As we were about to leave this same manager (Enrique) said he finally had a table for us and when he showed us to our table he didn't even hand us the menus he tossed them in the table, and walked off treating us like dogs. Who does this in a family restaurant? Seriously a manager acts like this toward, women, children and senior citizens? The waiter who greeted us (Carlos) was more than amazing making up for the lack of respect of the manager. You would think that a family restaurant would make better choices with their manager choices. The managers are that face of the business and the first face customer see and meet and should respect the customers and the elderly. Only 2 positives were Carlos who was great and had a nice friendly smile and was more than accommodating and WILL the bartender that also had a friendly face and smile. They both should be looked at for manager choices, we as customers want to be treated with respect. Carlos and Will had more qualities and respect than...
Read moreI ordered a taco salad with grilled chicken & my partner ordered a a chicken fajita something or another ... his was a lunch special. He wasn't impressed but he was able to eat it. My chicken was not grilled & tasted yucky. I had already added their salsa that we had to stop another waitress for since our waiter was nowhere to be found after waiting for 10 mins. I then asked for Ranch dressing to mask the flavor to no avail. I ended up pulling the chicken out & just the tiny amount of beans & the lettuce in the shell. My partner tasted the chicken & even said it had a weird taste to it. The waiter finally came by & asked how everything was. My partner said something tasted weird about my chicken. He said he'd get the manager & did we want a refill of ice tea? Umm, yes ... if you had bothered to come by earlier you would have noticed our glasses were empty. Yes, it was busy when we walked in but we were seated immediately & our meal arrived quickly as well as our ice tea. Anyways, the manager came & without calling us liars, called us liars. If you know what I mean. All in all just a horrible experience! Bad food, bad service, bad manager👎 I guess I should have stuck to my normal cheese enchiladas, rice & beans. Any Mexcan food Restaurant knows how to do that!!! I have frequented this restaurant since they have opened on this side of town. Even we we ordered take-out & they didn't give us a taco but charged for it, we didn't call & complain or demand our money back. It was a mistake. Advertising grilled chicken in a taco salad & not serving it grilled AND it tasting off to 2 people, the manager should never make the customer feel like liars. He did remove the salad from the bill. Honestly, there's so many good Mexican food restaurants I doubt I'll be back to this one! The manager just left a bad taste in my mouth along with the not...
Read moreMade plans to meet my sister in law whom I hadn't seen or talked to in years. Arrived around 1ish for a late lunch, I was getting ready to order a combo with crunchy shredded beef taco and a chile relleno until the albondiga soup caught my eye! Ordered that and it was really good, a little saltier than I would like but over all, it was really good! We sat and talked for several hours, just enjoying the atmosphere, didn't think we were doing anything bad, we both ordered food so it wasn't like we weren't paying customers. But I guess "Enrique" (I believe was him name) manager or hostess, or whatever he was, walks up to our table, and just abruptly reached over our table and grabs our cups, so I mention to him that we were enjoying the atmosphere and catching up, he says "oh that's nice (very sarcastic), I have people waiting for tables" and walks away!! Very short and rude! Could have simply asked us to move over to the bar area or even tell us politely, that he was really needing the space. I guess you're only allowed to eat, pay, and then get a move on! Not a place to socialize!! If our company isn't good enough then I guess neither is our money! I've always liked this place and they really do have great food but me personally, will not be going back. This is my opinion and personal choice, so please be your own judge. I just think there was no need for him to...
