Thursday 5-1-25 placed my order. Picked it up! ON the receipt IT was correct!! But when we got home it was ALL wrong. I call and inform them. She (person working register) says Do u want another? I'm like Well sure? IF that's possible. I really wanted to just remind them to be More careful. So we go with receipt. They say No we can't replace item without other one? WHAT? Why didn't you say that on the phone!? Gas is expensive? We come home to get it go back and get the worse customer service ever! She doesn't even look at the wrong order, tossed it in trash! I got upset. Asked for manager? None on site. Only HER? I reminded her that gas is expensive going back and forth is uncalled for When she didn't even look at the food. What happened to Customer Service being at least a little important Then denied me a "replacement" I demanded a refund!! With full attitude and rolling of the eyes!! She gave me my money back. I left with NO dinner and a hard lesson learned. Customer service just ain't important ANY more!! Live and learn EVEN at my older age. Won't be going there no more....
Read moreOut of my experiences at this particular La Villa (and there have been too many to count over the past 4 yrs. on this side of town) I was disappointed in my order. My tacos may have had 2 rounded tablespoons full of carne asada. Unfortunately it was a to- go order. Additionally, their salsa was much hotter than i've ever tasted. NEWSFLASH: Not everyone wants a salsa so hot one can't taste any flavor (unless there really is no flavor and covering it up with chili so hot is the best recourse). I've found there are growing masses of clientele that while they enjoy having spicey foods, they are patronizing restaurants who will respect tastes. Mild meaning mild nothing more. The guacamole was good. I've been pleased with this restaurant in the past, it will get one more try. After that I head to La Villa on N. Chester where one always been...
Read moreIf you really want some of the great mexican food that Tacos La Villa is known for, DON'T GO HERE. It is a pale reflection of the wonderful food you can get at the same restaurant on Ming Avenue. I simply ordered an al pastor burrito at 6:04 pm. At 6:21 it was prepared and given. It had virtually none of the really fabulous al pastor Tacos La Villa makes. In essence, it was a rice and beans burrito. Very disappointing. Lesson learned. Take the extra time and drive to Ming Ave. It will be worth it. Updated 6-23-2019: Tried it again because my son loves the burritos on Ming Ave. Results: fast and friendly service BUT the food just doesnt measure up. Very mediocre. Original conclusion was accurate. Avoid this place and drive to...
