Me n ed's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I must admit, there pizza is good, but the customer service has been consistently bad. Unfortunately, this includes both delivery and eating in.

First, delivery, each time the wait time has been extremely long. I'm talking an hour and fifteen minutes in the middle of the week. More often than not, the order was incorrect. It's been a wide range of things from forgetting the sides of ranch ordered to completely delivering the wrong pizza.

We stopped ordering delivery and thought we would start going there to eat instead of delivery. The experience has been the same. Again, the pizza is good, but enough is enough in regards to customer service. Tonight, however, was the worst. It wasn't very busy and it took forever to get the pizza. The garlic bread came out after the pizza and near the end of our stay. During our visit, we witnessed a male employee, who was clearly agitated, tell the female customer that he was off at 8:30 and he would be outside (insinuating that he wanted to fight). After the lady left, her husband then came in and filed a report with both the manager and the police department. The employee then continued throwing his arms up at the customer and shaking his head at him in a taunting manner. The employee continued to work and it appeared there was no disciplinary action.

So I went into me n eds today to pick up my order of 4 meat calzones. Upon receiving them, I checked them because last time I ordered one, they didn't put in the pizza sauce. I noticed I had 3 bags of chips instead of 4 bags. Okay, just an oversight so I asked for the other bag of chips. They ignored me. The restaurant wasn't busy or loud. I was the only one at the counter. So I waited a good 3-4 minutes saying Excuse me, Hey, Excuse me. Eventually they figured I wasn't going away. Then I was told that they were out of them. So they purposely were shorting me on the bag of chips and were hoping I wouldn't notice. Then one guy asked if I would like potato wedges which would be an acceptable solution. So I think I'm waiting on potato wedges but after another 3-4 minutes of standing up at the counter, the person in charge Omar, says that he can give me a container of ranch. At this point I'm kind of stupefied. A free small soda would have been fine or a coupon or something. I can say I made the change over to cubbies for their pizza a few months ago but I still liked Me & Eds calzones but the crappy service I received at Me & Eds on coffee lane especially from a manager, has turned me off on them. Seriously, a tablespoon of ranch for intentionally trying to short me on a product. I'd think with John's Pizza, Cubbies, Pizza Hut, and Dominoes all within 1.5 mile radius, they would train their...

First off we spent over $50.00 in this place and the food was below average. The salad was wilted, they forgot to add the cheese and dressing to the salad. We ordered one gluten free pizza and they brought out the wrong pizza that could have made one of us violently ill. The hot wings were the only thing done correctly. This is a very bad thing when the store owner is in the kitchen while a lot of orders are continually being messed up and the lackluster participation of the owner interacting with the customers in the pizzeria. The ONLY bright spot of this visit was the young lady who attempted to correct the incompetence of the young man taking orders, who in my opinion looks like he needs to stop smoking weed before work. Danielle is the young lady who came to our table and tried to resolve the multiple mistakes and lack of concern from the manager on duty. We will not be coming back to this pizza place. For the money spent, this is not a great value at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We work hard for our money and expect to be at the very least satisfied with our experience.
