I have been to Outback several times and the food has been excellent and service was so so. However my most recent trip was to celebrate my Sons graduation. We had a reservation for a party of ten and had only a short wait until seated. Our server seemed friendly and things were going ok until we received our food after a rather short time considering the amount in our party. The food came to our tAble two at a time with good period of time between getting another 2, until we all had our meals. The first of our party had plenty of time to be at least halfway done with the meal before another 2 would be brought out. My Father in law ordered a prime rib dinner that was around $50 and I ordered a 6 oz filet meal for around 24.00. The rest of our party had various other steak meals or rib meal for various prices. The prime rib was cold when my F. I. L received it and had to send it back and when it came back it was over cooked and had to be sent back once again. My filet was also undercooked when I received it and only a maybe lukewarm. As if this wasn’t bad enough my Brother in law had his soft drink refilled and when he took a drink noticed a awful taste and smell. The entire table smelled it and we all agreed it had a smell almost like a pond or fish tank to it. We informed the waiter and he brought a new beverage that then was fine. Since our waiter had not asked any of us if we would like drinks refilled the entire time and mine had been empty for quite a while I flagged out server down and asked if I could have mine refilled. There were three others that also had empty beverages but wasn’t refilled or asked if they would like one. When my refill came back to the table I didn’t think and took a big drink as soon as I got it and immediately noticed a very weird taste with the soda. Remembering the issue earlier and in curiosity I smelled my beverage and it also had a could odor that resembled pond water or a fish tank. I called the manager over and told her that this was the 2nd drink like this and after everyone at the table also agreed it smelled like pond water I asked her to also smell the drink and she stated that she also noticed it had a smell that was not normal. I was grossed out and sick to my stomach after all of this happening. I had not experiencened anything like this before at outback or any place else to be exact. I was very embarrassed that this was my choice for my Sons graduation dinner. After this visit and the experience with the service and the food , I will not return to eat there again. I am just shocked at the fact that after bringing this all up to our sever and management also they pretty much acted like it was no big deal. If you are considering going here I would think twice because for the amount of money we spent for our dinners I am positive we would have had extremely better service, and better food for a better price I’m sure if we went somewhere different. Don’t go here if u have high expectations or would like to celebrate an event! U will be disappointed if your visit goes how...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying Outback Steakhouse’s Chicken on the Barbie, and it turned out to be one of those wonderfully satisfying dining experiences—simple, yet surprisingly delightful.
When the dish arrived, it immediately captured my attention with its enticing presentation: a beautifully grilled chicken breast, carefully adorned with those inviting char lines you only get from attentive grilling. The subtle smoky aroma wafting up from the plate immediately promised good things to come, reminiscent of warm evenings around a backyard grill.
Slicing into the chicken, I was pleased to discover tender, juicy meat beneath its nicely caramelized exterior. Every bite was consistently flavorful, reflecting careful preparation and seasoning that penetrated deeply, enhancing the natural juiciness of the chicken. It was evident that someone in the kitchen had taken genuine care in its preparation—nothing felt rushed or overlooked.
Adding to the experience was Outback’s signature barbecue sauce—just sweet enough to complement without overpowering the smoky, savory essence of the grilled chicken. With gentle notes of molasses, a mild tang, and the warmth of subtle spices, the sauce gracefully enhanced each bite.
My chosen sides—an oven-baked potato and freshly steamed broccoli—turned out to be excellent accompaniments. The potato arrived fluffy and piping hot, topped generously with butter and sour cream, offering a comforting, classic pairing that never disappoints. The broccoli, bright green and perfectly steamed, brought a welcome freshness and balanced the richer flavors of the chicken and potato. It was clear these sides had been prepared thoughtfully, rounding out the meal beautifully.
Throughout the dinner, the atmosphere at Outback added to my enjoyment—relaxed, welcoming, and comfortable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, adding just the right touch of warmth and hospitality to make the entire dining experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.
In short, Chicken on the Barbie exceeded my expectations by delivering not only on flavor and tenderness but also in the overall quality and care put into every aspect of the dish. It’s the sort of meal you leave feeling pleasantly satisfied—simple yet memorable, and definitely worthy of...
Read moreLet me start off by saying Sunday evening Outback was still lively. There is plenty of parking. The vibe is very chill. You can go in dressed up or dressed casually.
Now the aspect of dining. First off we walked in at the same moment a door dasher did. The hostess took the name of the person for the door dasher, then she politely let him know she was going to seat us and would be right with him. This in itself is exceptional. Most places will help the dasher before the person dining in. She was polite to the dasher and to us. Second, our server Brandon, went above and beyond the whole entirety of the time we spent there. He made no complaints of our questions or our curiosities. He explained everything thing from the Aussie Shark drink to my weird requests. His hospitality did not go unnoticed. His kindness and patience ways to us are very appreciated. Third, Miss Laurie the manager, her knowledge and welcoming vibe was very appreciated. Her staff, unfortunately did not get her name, grabbed her so that she could hear us rave about the whole meal. She even explained to us the preparation of the meat, and recommended some items on our next trip over. The staff and food is overall amazing. Prices are decent. The vibe of the restaurant is not rushed but very chill. The music is on but not obnoxious. The TVs in the bar area are nice sized and clear.
The steaks are cooked to perfection, with a seasoning you'll know you're at Outback. The chicken with or without the amazing BBQ sauce was juicy and tender, with great flavors. Baked potato is seasoned throughly on the outside so every bite you get is seasoned. Salads come with the right amount of dressing and fresh veggies. The thunder from down under dessert was amazing end to the whole meal. It compliments the food nicely. One is enough for two people.
I can not rave enough about Outback.
Brandon, I hope you see this and know that your customer service and attention to detail does not go unnoticed. Thank you for keeping our drinks filled, answering all our questions, and being the amazing human you are. It was so appreciated tonight. Thank you for making our date night.
