Panda Express — Restaurant in Bakersfield

The cashier today acted as though she didn't like her job. I understand it's a fast food chain but there has to be a basic level of common courtesy and professionalism. A customer had a question regarding her order in the midst of the worker helping me. At that moment, she stopped putting my entree into the bowl, walk from around the counter to help the other customer regarding her order and did not say a word to me. Instead, in a frustrated manner, she grabbed the lady's 2 plates scraped off the brown rice to add fried rice instead and somewhat tossed them back into her back and sent her on her way. When another employee walked into the store and shouted "Hello everyone!" in an upbeat tone her reply to him was "not today! I'm not at the mood" it took a different lady to come around apologize and finish my order. That did not make any sense it was not crowded in there but either way and most importantly it's business and there's a certain way to conduct yourself amongst people. Orders are going have issues sometimes. It comes with the territory she really needs...

I waited until I had four separate orders on separate days throughout a year where this restaurant was just gross before I finally wrote a review. Out of the entire country this is the only Panda Express I've ever had an issue with. Between them not having anything available to the disgusting quality. Lately their chow mein has been all chopped up into small pieces and tastes almost sour tasting. Celery undercooked in my black pepper chicken pretty much raw. And today I ordered orange chicken and they sent me some abomination that was dark brown like spicy barbecue chicken like they had put the wrong sauce on there. It tasted like if the Beijing beef and orange chicken had a baby. They also only gave me nine out of the 12 Rangoon I ordered. Every single time I order from this Panda Express it is not acceptable and their managers really need to step it up. Not going to this...

Update: Been here about 3-4 times the past 6 months and the customer service has definitely improved! The food has improved as well.. upping from 1 to 4 🌟s!

I have no issues with any other Panda location in town, except this one! It's close by so I continued giving them a chance and checking it out every now and then, but I give up.. not only are the girls working here rude, but the food quality and servings are definitely not the same as every other location! Just picked up the family special and like mentioned by another reviewer, my "Chow Mein" was mostly Cabbage! For one of my large sides, I selected the Honey Walnut Shrimp...which I was charged an extra $3.75 for, but the container was only half full. I'll definitely stick to the Rosedale and Gosford locations...
