I came in today and had the absolute worst experience ever. The cashier Rosa screamed at me because when I sat down from the open bar I forgot to get a couple piece of ham. Even though my plate was not even full Rosa took it open herself to yell at me from across the room that I was not to take second serving. I explained to her that I was not taking a second serving but rather just getting what I forgot to put on my bowl. I even showed her the small amount of ham I was adding. She told me "You have already been told". I was so embarrassed. My friend and I could did not want to eat there any more because of the scene that she had caused. When I got up to leave and took a bag to put my food in, Rosa again felt it necessary to make a loud and rude comment. She told me, "Yeah take that bag without asking". Then she proceeded to laugh at me with the other employees. When I asked for the managers name and number I was told, "the number is on my bag and we don't give out personal information". I never asked for personal information all I asked for was the managers name and a contact number for them. I can't even describe how embarrassing this entire experience was. I will definitely not be revisiting this place. This ranks as one of my worst eating experiences ever. With customer service like this it is hard to understand how a place can stay in business. Do yourself a favor DO NOT EAT...
Read moreSALAD EATER! Friends told me they are the best in town for sandwiches. Unfortunately I like salads at lunch. The selection on the salad bar is somewhat large - but I would rather have fewer choices and fresher items. All 3 types of lettuce choices (Ice Berg, Romaine w/some field greens and spinach) were wilted, some rusty spots and dark watery spots on the spinach. Most of the others items were okay and I use okay lightly - dry carrots and pasta salad choice that tasted like a store bought version, the meat selections look like low quality lunch meat and bacon bits are the nasty from a bottle kind. Dressings were great and helped the salad out allot! For the price I probably won't go back for salad. I would rather visit Togo's or El Polo Loco and get regular size salad with fresher ingredients at for the same price or less that the small at Sub Station. I may visit with friends during lunch if that's where they want to go and I will try a sandwich or soup as I've been told...
Read moreThis was our go to sandwich shop from late 1980s to about ten years ago. It was a gem with great food, atmosphere, and service. After a long pause because we live out of town, we returned recently for a little nostalgic lunch and left disappointed. The atmosphere hasn’t changed and the service was fine, however, the food quality has suffered significantly. We both ate only the sandwich filling because the bread was nothing like the original. We ate the meat, cheese, and veggies only because we didn’t want to leave hungry. The salad bar also has suffered but was edible. For nearly $40 for a small sandwich, salad and drinks for two, we were very...
