Woodstone Pizzerias — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I truly enjoyed the pizza 🍕 we had their yesterday. Chicken with bacon 🥓 and pineapple and a sweet BBQ sauce on a crispy thin crust 😋 was just so amazingly delicious. They had a choice of creative sodas as well. I chose a vanilla cream, and it was a great combo with the pizza. The service was great and super friendly. The atmosphere was nice, and the entire place was clean and cool from the summer heat. Their menu options are very nice, and I can't wait to go back and try some more. All in all we had a very nice time here and a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend trying this place out if you're a pizza lover and looking for a little different type of style. Their crusts here are thin and crispy and delicious and stand up to the test of holding a slice and not having a floppy crust where all your toppings fall off. They don't overfill the toppings either, and our pizza wasn't even greasy at all, which was a nice surprise. The service was in the middle, nothing good but nothing bad, the atmosphere was actually interesting, lots of wood and metal, I liked the booths alot. Now to the food, the whole reason to write a review in the first place is the food, so let me put it simply, the pizza was bad, I hope that it was just a bad cook, the toppings were okay, they were better quality then let's say pizza hut but not as good as other places in town, however the crust on this pizza is one of the worst I've had. The crust is supper thin, the sauce and cheese was thicker then the crust, I like thin crust, however the crust came out hard and "snappy" it wasn't juts crispy, it snapped like a piece of ginger bread I wouldn't recommend it. Now the wings were okay, the sauce was super vinegary like more vinegar than other flavors, now I don't know if this is just a different kind of Buffalo so I won't mark it down too much. As of right now my five star rating is based solely off the customer service and the timing from when I placed the order to picking it up. The gentleman on the phone was so cool and nice and he was very very well-mannered. I haven't eaten the food yet I literally just picked it up but the restaurant was really clean it was a good vibe going on in there and both him and the delivery guy that walked in right before I did work courteous and ensured I had everything I needed before I walked out the door. My pizza was still in the oven when I arrived and he even had me just go sit back in the car and brought it out to me. I've heard great things about the food so I will update if for any reason the meal isn't as good as the service but I have a good feeling it will be excellent just like the workers.
