My family and I love this place, we have been visiting Village Grill for years, we don't eat out often, but when we do V.G. is our breakfast go-to. We didn't have to wait for a table of three, we prefer the patio so it was nice not having to wait for a table. Our visit was on a Sunday, approximately 9:30, don't know when the church crowds start, but our timing was perfect.
First, we love the coffee. Yes, the coffee is worth mentioining, so flavorful and hot. We finally got around to asking about the brand, won't reveal the brand, you need to go discover the tasty blend for yourself. Coffee lovers will appreciate.
My niece and I shared the veggie scramble, the scramble is generous serving size and comes with other sides, we selected hash browns and toast. We chose to add bacon to the veggie scramble, it was all so well prepared and tasty. We also ordered a wafflecand added strawberries, it was topped off with whipped cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. Have never had cinnamon on my waffle, pleasantly surprised, I like small details that enhance my meals.
My husband ordered the eggs and bacon breakfast, somply breakfast done well. My husband is particular about how his bacon is prepared, he likes it crispy-not burned. His bacon was perfect.
I am not the type of individual who photographs their food, photos only show how appealing a meal can appear, nothing can be communicated through a photograph regarding taste.
Lastly, the service was excellent as it has always been previous visits. Like most, I feel it's important that all meals for the dining party arrive at the same time, V.G. has this down. The staff is always friendly, they work as a team ensuring all our needs were met, but it never feels over-solicitous. If you haven't been to Village Grill in a while, I suggest a visit in your near future. If you've never been, I also suggest a visit, it will become a favorite.
Village Grill is only open for breakfast and lunch, the menu has been paired down, which I appreciate. Looks like they kept their best breakfast and lunch meals and added a few new ones. Highly...
Read moreIf I could give the food no stars that would be minus 10 today myself my two boys (men now) and my two grandsons $90.84 with a suggested tip of 13.89. It was the worst meal we have ever had there the bloody Mary's where horrible tasting and lacked alcohol it seemed for 8.00 dollars it should at least taste like alcohol or taste good .the boys and I order new York steak and eggs... OK they ordered theirs med rare ..Jons came and it wasn't even cooked it seemed at all. Justin's came and it was med well mine came and it was leather with no seasoning taste at all on any of them.. 13.99 a piece ......wth... They wasn't even a half inch thick carne Asada is thicker than they are.i ordered ranch potatoes they was so dry the ketchup wouldn't even help. the boys said their hashbrowns was good. But that was about all of their meal that was good.... now mind you my boys are big guys and for a hundred bucks ...... they should of been full and happy...instead my boys ate this horrible meal anyway instead of complaining I put my whole breakfast with one to three bites out of everything ..not to mention the biscuit and gravy was dry and the gravy smelled and tasted weird... OK then my two grandsons one is 10 he had frenchtoast which he said was good ....8.99 ..my 3 yr old grandson wanted a pancake with sausage and eggs 8.99 bevy village grill dies not have a kids menu ? ? Why don't they? ? So my son paid the price of an adult meal for his three year old..... Not cool ... I am now sick as hell from the food I assume .. Not cool and you are false advertising when you say it's affordable and because the food pictured here on this website is way better looking than what you actually serve... I think you need to issue my son a refund. .. Or get your shot together and make a 100 dollar breakfast worth it the boys where headed home to fix breakfast after leaving this restaurant... What a shame we used to come here with my husband before he passed and the food was great but that was 2013 and no part of it is...
Read moreLooking for a new place to try, I saw pictures of the restaurant on here & read the food reviews so I made the choice to bring my family here for the first time today. It looks really inviting, & it truly is a welcoming location. The decor looks homey, and the outdoor area is refreshing-- was worth coming back to try.
However, when we got seated the server that took our drink order gave us no welcome, no greeting & half heard the drink order before speeding away from our booth (Red & black long hair, don't know her name). I was flabbergasted. We were only handed 2 menus & two sets of utincels and we were a party of 4.
I must of looked visibly irrate because another lady came by to check up on us and she was a lot more courteous, & finished bringing our drinks like I had asked. I asked her name & it was Dana or Dania. If weren't for her, I would've Respectfully walked out with my entire family, because I wasn't going to sit & get mediocre service when we can choose another place to eat in the downtown area. Shortly after that another server took our order, (she had tattoos & black eyeliner). Sped us through the process, but her attentiveness was definitely an upgrade from the first server.
Food arrived & the food was what we expected, probably the best part of the experience-- that I didn't even mind not getting the pancakes we ordered. I canceled that once miss red & black haired server finally came to give us our check.
I work at a restaurant, myself so I know about tipping out & the split percentage between staff so I did leave a fair tip on the table despite the low quality service we got.
But, to finish it off; miss red & black haired server who gave us the worst service finished it off by asking if the 20 I was handing her with my card was meant for a tip. (Tip was vidibly on the table) Um, Girl, no.. flabbergasted once again to comprehend she thinks her lack of attentiveness deserves that tip. I'm sad to say that this is the last time I'm going to eat here. I'm...
