I am enrolled in the Cardiac Sonography class for the winter 2022 semester. Instructor Esmeralda Soliz’s knowledge of cardiac anatomy and sonographic techniques was clear throughout the course. She was great at explaining difficult questions in simple terms and demonstrated with real-life examples.

What I liked most was her teaching style, she used interactive demonstrations, and engaging lectures to make the subject matter more interesting and understandable. Her passion and love for the field truly motivated me and expanded my learning experience.

I saw a considerable improvement in my understanding and performance in the course because of her constructive criticism and willingness to offer additional help outside of class hours. Her extra effort to offer more help and one-on-one discussions was greatly appreciated.

Overall, I am appreciative of instructor Esmeralda as well as Rose Maestas who oversees the cardiac ultrasound program for all the help and effort put into me and other students. I am currently enrolled in the ultrasound program.The school is completely unprofessional, employees act like chickens with their head cut off. Instructors don’t know what they’re doing. B(employee) she gets you enrolled into the school and that’s all you’ll ever hear from her, forget about asking her questions. J(employee) she’s the only one in charge of sending students to their extern site. So good luck about getting a good extern site near your hometown LIKE THEY PROMISED YOU WHEN ENROLLING!! Financial aid is no help at all she talks like she’s always unsure about her JOB. All the employees are there to take students hard earned money. The school is ugly inside and out. The year & half I went there the girls restroom faucets hardly had any water when you tried to turn it on. I could go on forever about this disgrace of a so called Medical college. It amazes me how many complaints I am reading. My boyfriend attended this school. I saw a lot of students who didn't put ANY effort into their work let alone apply themselves. Most of the students in that place complained about EVERYTHING, or didn't show up. There were more failures than graduates. High Desert MAKES you do the work and cuts people no slack. If they're treating you like a child, it is probably because you're acting like one. This is college, not high school. My boyfriend graduated with a 98%, High Desert treated my boyfriend like a KING. The student loan process was easier than getting a car loan. My boyfriend plans on going back to further himself in the medical field. I wouldn't want him going anywhere else.
