I have been coming to this location a little over ten years, not frequently, but whenever I need a donut I choose to come here. Well, today was a different experience then usual and I am upset at the owners gestures and the way he went about a situation. I am all about supporting small business and I tend to go to places that have excellent customer service and this used to be that place, but after today I am upset. I was preparing a coffee and I noticed a gentleman walk in, put some change on the counter, and ask what can he purchase with that. I overheard and offered to buy the gentleman anything he wanted, because we are a community and should help our fellow neighbors when needed. When I told the owner that I would pay for it, his customer service and attitude took a 360. I'm always used to the owner smiling and attending people with a smile, but for some reason me offering to buy this gentleman something made him get serious. I left highly disappointed and won't be back, there was no way an individual should be treated like that because someone is offering to help. The gentleman was not asking for handouts or bothering people, I just simply overheard him and offered a helping hand. Sadly, after this decade of being a faithful client, I won't be coming back. I hope the owner does better after this and actually reads the review and reflects on his actions because at the end of the day we are all human beings, showing compassion does not cost a thing, and overall thanks to the Balch Springs community he is able to continue to have his business open. We all fall on hard times, please choose to be king and attend every customer...
Read moreI had a chance to stop by to grab some donuts a couple months ago, and I've been stopping by here ever since. Donuts are delicious, soft-textured taste, not doughy like many other places that I had tried before. Price is really reasonably affordable, like very very affordable. As a customer's standpoint, this is a steal deal for me. But I do hope they can raise the price once in a while, because there's no way a place with donuts this good has its products pricing so little. If they open in a city's area with double the price, I'm 100% sure people are completely happy with it. Disregarding a couple negative reviews, all I've ever seen every time I got there was the owners always showing hospitality and patience with their customers. I believe what I see, and I bet all the customers would agree with me as well. Small local business should get more recognition, because I get it, when people are happy they rarely leave comments or reviews, but when they're dissatisfied, 80 to 90% they gonna leave reviews not so positive. My notes to the owners: Please keep doing what you're doing best, you guys are very hard-working people, I rarely ever seen this store closed for any holidays or anything, which is incredibly a blessing for the community. I'll continue to stop by here supporting this business. Trust me, once you get a taste of their donuts, you WILL come back for more!! Thank you for making THE BEST donuts with heart and...
Read moreDepending on their mood they can be rude. The hispanic lady especially, overlooking people that have been waiting to help out regulars. The donuts will on occasion have too much grease, the buttermilk/old fashioned are way too sugary. Prices are high for a doughnut shop. The big croissants with meat and eggs are almost $5 for one...$7 for a half dozen choc/glaze...and that's a "special." Pioneer doughnuts have changed ownership but they are cheaper, better, and not so greasy. They serve on a first come first serve and don't bypass those that have been waiting to serve regulars. Still have reflux from the grease soaked doughnuts that I bought earlier from Donut...
