Walter E. Luedeke Park — Attraction in Balch Springs

It's close to a busy road there needs to be fencing around the park and splash pad there is a walking trail that leads to a pond that a little girl drowned in when the park was first made they do have bathrooms and a huge area for a party or just to sit and eat with the kids I think the play area would be a lot better if it was fenced in for our babys to be safe if you have more then one child that likes to run around and fast and not stay on the playground please don't go here it's not safe also the area is high drug area and would raise concern for the bathroom please go in with your child to make sure there's not needles or other stuff laying around it sucks I would even...

Always enjoy walking at this park, usually only a few people there in the morning when I go to walk. Have issues with the house directly behind the water pad area, as they let their dogs use the park as their own personal bathroom. No one from the house ever comes out to control the barking dogs, or clean up after them. Signs are clearly posted reminding park visitors that not only are dogs supposed to be on a leash, but you are supposed to clean up their waste! NOTE: Animal Control has been made aware, but can never catch these offenders...

This park has 3 picnic tables and fire pits for each, it has 2 benches around the playground, and a few more along the trail. The playground is nice, it needs to be refilled with wood chips.
