So..I was told about this place by a buddy of mines. Checked it out for the first time a few days ago, which was great BTW, and then the second time..today. with it being a Sunday and all I understand there's more orders, more folks dinning inside etc. Everyone seemed to be doing a fine job all around. One employee was waiting tables, the cooks in the back keeping the place smelling good and then..the cashier young lady.. We repeated our order 3 times. The music was a bit loud so I didn't mind. Placed our order, was told about 20 minutes, went out and watched some YouTube while I waited. After about 25 minutes and seeing multiple ppl walking out with orders I figured ours should be next. I walked in and noticed several other fellow employees helping out the cashier in figuring out what was who's. After hearing some of the conversation "girl honestly I wasn't even focused..." I start to think maybe our food was given to someone or our order was never made. Giving the girl one more chance, I understood it can happen with more traffic..she then walks to me and asks "what was your order?" I told her a couple items and she continues "oh right yes my bad my bad here it is" and gets it from in front of her(not sure how long it had been sitting there)
Point being to this Karen rant is that the cashier lady clearly needs to focus especially on Sunday afternoons. Lol also being in front and handling not only Food but money from multiple ppl, you should wear your mask properly and not just cover your chin. Wear gloves when handling food or at least clean hands after handling money... RANT OVER.
Food was great. Hawaiian torta is one I will recommend. Might get a 5...
Read moreThe food was delicious. I had the camarones a la diabla (deviled shrimp), and, unlike in many places I've visited before, they were actually a bit spicy. They had a great flavor with just enough heat to make you sweat. I also tried their chilaquiles, which come with a very well cooked egg, I had mine over medium. The corn chips were freshly made and very crunchy. They pared well with the refried beans and the orchata water. The only downside of the experience was that the orchata that I had was machine made and not handmade. My daughter had a cantaloupe water, and she said it was delicious. From what I heard from my other family members who tried the menudo, it is a must-have. It is mildly spicy and had an excellent meat to...
Read moreBreakfast tacos were delicious and prepared fresh and fast at this traditional taqueria. My husband had bacon, egg & bean tacos, to I had potato, egg & beans. We had ours on their small delicious flour tortillas and they were served with red and green salsa - both very good, but with a hot kick at the end, so use sparingly if you can't handle the heat. My husband had two, but one was enough for me. All of the ingredients were very tasty and the coffee was good, the staff was friendly as well. We will...
