First of prices are probably the most of any near by store especially if you donāt use you rewards. They have things labeled as a certain price and then when you get to the checkout āohā¦you have to buy six of those to get that price. You didnāt read the fine print.ā Why are they playing games like that? The their āNew Locked In Low Priceā tags they have everywhereā¦theyāre not locked in or low. I went one week and seen a ālocked in low priceā for Community Coffee and then the next week it jumped up almost $2. Their old donuts they have sitting around getting hard sell for $6.99 a dozen. Thats as much as the donut store down the street where you can get them fresh for that much.
Add to that EVERYTIME when you go now, for the last two months these people walking around harassing you to buy electricity. I just wanna shop. Set up a booth or something and if people wanna come talk to you about electricityā¦.fineā¦but following me (and others) around the store so they can find their next victim? And I do mean victimā¦these people try to tell you youāre just signing up to receive more information but once you give them your info the they sell your email and other info to other businesses. Expect to get 100 emails the first week from places you donāt expect. One guy tried to tell me ājust click āI acceptā itās just saying that you agree to have us send you more infoā but he didnāt know I read exceptionally faster than most others and seen where he was tryin to get me to sign to give them the authority switch my electric company over to them and pay a $250-$300 disconnect fee if I decided I didnāt like the service.
See, the thing isā¦Iāve been coming to this Kroger since I was a little kid. The fact that these managers allow people to walk around and scam people with this electric switcharoo scam boggles my mind. Thereās seniors out there that go in thinking they can trust Kroger but this Kroger is straight playing games with people to make a couple dollars. DO NOT FALL FOR THE ELECTRICITY SCAM AND WARN YOUR RELATIVES THAT SHOP HERE.
From the electricity salespeople to the pricesā¦it comes down to bad management. I saw a girl the other day working hard by herself to both check out and bag groceries. The manager came up (messed up hair, taller guy, shirt half untucked)and was talking to her and could see she was in the weeds and very busy with customers. He didnāt even bother to try to help her, me, or any customers. I guess heās one of those āIām the manager we donāt bag groceries and help out employees when they need help THEY work for US.ā
Anywayā¦sorry so longā¦I just hate to see this Kroger like thisā¦I havenāt seen it this badly managed in all the years Iāve been going. Time for me to find a new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent here during the week and the coffee pods I usually buy were $2.99. Went on Saturday, and the price jumped to $6.99. Apple juice they have at the front during the week were $1.69ā¦they had a sign on the weekend that they were āon saleā 2 for $5?!? I picked up some bacon that was labeled as on sale and checked out. After looking at my receipt I saw the bacon rang up at $8.59ā¦noā¦not the big packā¦this was for 1 poundā¦1lb of bacon for $8.59? I went to go return it and the lady at the front (heavy set African American lady at the self checkout) was not only rude but told me Iād have to return it at customer serviceā¦They had just went to lunch and would return in 30-45 minutes. It was 9-15am and the customer service desk opens @ 9am Iāve been going here enough to realize whatās going on. During weekends and holidays they raise ALL the prices. Itās unfortunate because a lot of their customers are elderly people that are loyal but Kroger isnāt loyal to themā¦THEY ARE RIPPING THEM OFF WITH THE FINE PRINT AND DIGITAL COUPONS THEY CANT SEE. After many years of shopping here I will no longer be shopping at this dishonest place. Most of the employees are rude and act like they donāt want to be there. From the management to the self checkout people, unless you know them. They all talk amount themselves cussing and talking about inappropriate things within earshot of the customers and kids. Itās a dang shame what this Kroger has become and the games they play. But thatās managements fault. Evidently employees are allowed to act however they want because management does the same exact thing. There a younger guy there (white guy, mustache ) that doesnāt even say thank or thanks for coming inā¦.He just stares at people like heās strung out on something. He works at Taco Casa down the street and does the same thing there. Bye Krogerā¦I spend over $3k a month hereā¦wonāt happen again. Too many stores in the area to put up with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just witnessed a Store Manager (David) act un seemingly, unprofessional and discriminative toward an African American customer. His behavior should be reprimanded. It is sad how people are treated due to race. I watched as he provided outstanding service to Hispanic customers. If managers are behaving in this manner, what example are they setting for their workers. Trust itās not a good one.!!!!!
The customer was actually a very nice lady. We talked while waiting in line because the cash sure apparently was new and didnāt understand how to process a payment with a credit card so he asked for managers assistant. We werenāt made aware that there was no cash back until she tried to get cash back and he then stated he had no cash in his register. When Manager walked over, he appeared to already have an attitude and spoke rudely to the customer and stated with the harsh tone Iāll see I just be back and he walked off from helping the customer and made her wait with his behavior because there was no reason for him to treat her that way she was very, very nice . I am expecting management to do something about this type of behavior. This is definitely unacceptable. So if yāall see David at the Elam Road store watch out heās toxic and definitely pray for him. He has several tattoos on both arms. David you were Wrong and ypur attitude toward the customer was demeaning. You need customer service 101 and should be demoted. You are not Manager Material.
This type of behavior should never be exemplified by a manager at any establishment they should be terminated immediately with no questions asked.
. A word of advised to Kroger management if you allow this behavior to continue, you are going to face a major lawsuit for...
