never put negative reviews on here and I am even hesitant to put one now. We love(d) this restaurant for over a decade and recently ordered from there for the first time in a few months since we’ve moved out of the area. There was an instant notice of change in portion and look to the food when we first opened the order. We always order the chicken masala for two. It used to be two solid meals (leftovers). Today we received 9 bite size pieces of chicken lol. I understand restaurants make mistakes and it’s not the end of the world but from what I was told there is new management/ownership so that leads me to believe the changes that have been made her purposeful and the new direction, I’m assuming to save cost. There are many other glaring issues when it comes to quality other than what’s mentioned but it’s a clear 180 in the wrong direction. Long story short the food quality and quantity have taken a drastic turn for the worse. I hope this is corrected for everyone who used to love this restaurant. I should point out the person I spoke with at the restaurant couldn’t have been nicer and understanding...

The service was fast and easy. I should qualify my 3 stars first by saying that I am giving some grace because this was a Sunday, and likely not typical because the lower volume of business.

There was one person working (presumably the owner judging from some of the pictures), but he must have been in the office or in the back. After waiting a few minutes I just yelled “hello”. Didn’t have a mask on initially, but put it on when I placed my order.

You can see the prepared foods through the plexiglas at the counter. A lot of the dishes didn’t look very freshly prepared (oxidation and signs of solidification).

My order came fast (Falafel Platter). The sides were awesome, fresh and flavorful (red cabbage, ganouj, and tabouli). The falafel was dense, dry and seemed a bit stale. The tahini was slightly soupy. With the exception of the falafel, everything tasted great.

I plan to return here on a different day to see if it’s better when it’s busier. The reviews suggest that’s the case and why I initially tried this place.

Will update review after...

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good. Not a huge chickpea fan but heard such good things about this place that I decided to check it out for the first time. It definitely is on the pricey side but that’s everywhere you go now. Got the Chana Masala platter which came with rice, salad, freshly made naan, a veggie (got spinach and potatoes) and a green chutney sauce. The important thing was that they were very friendly, the portions were pretty decent for the price, and it was absolutely delicious!! Depending on how hungry you are, you can share this with someone or even get two meals out of this platter. It did have a little bit of kick so I would def ask about spice level for certain things before getting it. Highly recommend if you like middle eastern food. Lots of vegetarian...

Food was delicious, and everything on the menu looked great. We got the falafel wrap and a special of the day which was a lamb and chicken kabob with lentila and some naan bread. The sodas in the fridge were a little close to the best buy date ( I'm a bit of a soda date snob) so I opted for a tea. They did have some dessert options but I was too stuffed to try it. I was surprised at how small the eating area was, and on a busy night I'm guessing their is not much room to stand around. But in the afternoon we had the place to ourselves. Next time, we will probably call ahead and order it for take out and sit in the park or relax at home.
