This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Baltimore. If you're craving Salvadoran food or just Spanish food in general this is the place to go! It's not much for atmosphere or sights but the food more than makes up for that.
The servers are very friendly which is a plus. They are not stingy in any way. This place is generous with its servings and its not for lack of quality. You will not be disappointed with flavor and colors.
It's located inside the supermarket to the right of the entrance. The sights and sounds may dissuade you but do not despair, once you look past the sights and feast your eyes on the meal you will be in food bliss.
The casamiento was delicious. Beans, rice and scrambled veggie eggs with avocado, sweet plantains paired with Salvi sour cream and crumbled cheese. mouth watering to say the least. A staple for Salvi breakfast.
The giant chicken quesadilla was worth the price as it is big enough to serve 2. you will definitely leave with a full belly and a huge smile.
The grilled chicken burger with fires. OMG! The fries had ketchup and mayo and a sauce that was delightful. the chicken was huge and the meal itself is for 2. again very generous portions.
Steak and rice was good as well. the steak was not the softest but not the hardest I've had. could have been better but no complaints over all. rice and beans were good also.
Beef soup was also very tasty. the size of that bowl goodness me. can't stop emphasizing the portions here. and the flavors spot on.
The chicken taquitos by far were my favorite as an appetizer! they were stuffed to the max and packed with flavor and came with sour cream guacamole and salad. can't beat that with a bat!
lastly the pupusas. were buttery and soft. the revuelta and cheese ones were mouth watering good.
the Piña colada was great! and a huge serving!
I can't say enough about this place. The price is a bargain when you compare to the portion size you get. I say hands down come...
Read moreMy family has been coming here for years, and it’s disappointing to see how far the quality has dropped. The pupusas used to be full of flavor and filling — now they’re flat, thin, and basically empty, they look like they’re on a diet or on ozempic. My parents’ soup was basically lukewarm, salty water, and the rice had no seasoning at all. This place used to be great, but it’s just not worth it anymore. I am so sad and...
