Wawa — Restaurant in Baltimore

I typically avoid leaving negative reviews for food establishments unless absolutely necessary. In this instance, the food is consistently excellent—no complaints about that. However, my experience this evening was marred by an encounter with a gentleman in the Deli. My husband and I ordered two different sandwiches, each with distinct ingredients. When our number was called for pickup, I noticed only one sandwich situated next to our soups. I asked the man who called our number if there was a second sandwich. He seemed quite agitated as he checked the computer. After realizing his mistake, he dismissively said, “My bad, I made your sandwiches together,” and then returned to his tasks without further acknowledgment. I was really disappointed by his lack of courtesy in handling the situation. Unfortunately, this particular Wawa has a track record of unfriendly and unprofessional staff, and this wasn’t my first encounter with rude workers. If management is reading this, it might be beneficial to hold a team meeting to discuss tips and strategies for improving...

It's hard to dislike Wawa, seriously. When it comes to doing connivence stores right, Wawa is the gold standard. With that being said, not all Wawa's are equal. But, at least for me, this one stands out among the rest in eastern Baltimore. First off it's the location, right off the Eastern Avenue ramp from I-95 south. And when i mean right off, you can drive from the ramp, across Eastern, and into Wawa. Second is service and selection. Service isn't anything that will blow you away and like any place their are some bruised apples. But in general the it's fast and friendly. Selection wise, well Wawa does it right, i'll just leave it their. And then their is the store it's self. Clean. Royal Farms could take a lesson or two about cleanliness from Wawa.

I have the opportunity to go to other connivence stores that are closer, but i'll go out of my way...

I spend alot of money here and usually have no issues. This particular time I ordered the same sub I usually order and there are only 3 other people in the store. I order my sub then do my shopping. The other people order as Im shopping. I pay then return to pick up my sub which isnt made yet. The others were standing around while I ordered and didnt even walk up to the screen to start their order until after my ticket printed. I was 505. She made 506, then 509, then 520. I watch the girl make 2 of the other orders that were ordered after mine so after she starts making the 3rd that wasnt mine I went back to the register and explained and got my money back. No apologies or offer to find out why. I will be buying the $600 of deisel fuel I buy per month...
