We held a 30th birthday party this past weekend and it couldn't have been better! The space and set up for our private party was perfect. We were able to mingle with our guests while also feeling part of the overall fun vibe of the setting. Brent helped me to arrange the party and even met me at the door when we arrived. He was responsive, courteous and made sure I was happy the whole night. Darren, also checked on us several times and didn't even mind that my kids were making themselves at home at the pool cabanas. Janine, our server was the absolute best. None of the guests were ever thirsty. My husband, the guest of honor, said that she was constantly checking with him to ensure he had a drink and anything else he could want. I don't know how she kept everything organized with several separate tabs, but she did! She also had a smile and a positive attitude that everyone noticed. The food was possibly the most incredible part of the night. The presentation, quantity, and quality of the food was more than we ever expected. Our guests were blown away. This was the worst dining experienced I've encountered. When we arrived, there was no hostess available for seating. There was a server hanging out by the hostess stand who did not want to seat us. Another staffer did seat us, although not the hostess and no menus were given. I finally had to retrieve them from the hostess stand myself (still no hostess). Eventually the same server hanging out at the hostess stand came to take our order. We asked if a steamed vegetable could be substituted for the fries due to dietary restrictions. The server said yes. We waited an extraordinarily long time for our food, during which we endured the odor of dog urine. Eventually the food arrived. We each received a small plate with a crab cake and a few stalks of broccoli rabe glistening with oil. No condiment. No roll. Not even a garnish. We picked at our "crab cakes," which consisted mostly of filler. I'm not sure there was any crab meat in this "crab cake." The bill for these 2 "crab" cakes and 1 sour iced tea came to $88. Tried to go here for a late lunch/early dinner (3pm), no one greeted our party of 4, even though we stood around and were trying to make eye contact with the bartenders inside for 2ish minutes. Finally found a server on the deck bar area and said we'd like a table for 4, she said it's seat yourself, sure, no problem. We sat inside next to a table who was eating with their kid and was actively being served food by a waitress. Waited probably 7-10 minutes, thinking someone would bring us menus or at the very least acknowledge that we sat down--nope.

I know it's a holiday and the pool deck is very popular, but there were plenty of bartenders around us and several servers/bartenders/and someone who I believe was a manager walked by our table, and we tried to make eye contact and smile. After 10 minutes of being ignored, we dipped. What a disappointing...
