My niece and I came to the Belvedere Square to try another vendorās food and since it was my first time visiting this market we figured weād try some of the other food vendors.
Iām a big fan of Thai cuisine so when I seen the Thai Landing I was immediately drawn to check out the menu. I ended up deciding on the drunken noodles and my niece seen the reviews for their fried curry chicken bites which looked delicious and had decent food reviews. The curry chicken was a big disappointment to say the least. The presentation was beautiful the chicken was perfectly fried and drizzled with yum yum sauce and you could taste the curry in the chickens batter but that was it.. I could identify the spice in the dish but it had no seasoning to it; a little seasoning salt or just table salt wouldāve made the dish good.
We were being traveling foodies that day so once we left and were on the road we had no access to seasoning so the chicken got soft and had became even more tasteless and had to be thrown away. Big disappointment and waste of money. We spent around $40 and it went all to the trash.
Maybe it was just a bad day for the Thai Landing restaurant, Iām not really sure but for a customer to waste $40 that is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really wanted this place to be great. Belvedere Square could really use a great Thai place but this one falls short. I ordered the ka-prow, my usual at any thai place, and it was missing a critical flavor that ka-prow is known for. I can't say what it was missing, but it wasn't unlike any ka-prow dish I've ever ordered. My mom got the sweet and sour chicken, which they also call crispy chicken. The sauce was really good, but the chicken wasn't crispy at all. We also ordered the pineapple fried rice - good texture with good veggies, but way too heavy on the curry. The two stir fry dishes came with a very small side of rice - half pint, I'd guess. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality for the price. We spent over $60 for just the two of us. You're better off spending that at Spice and Dice or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is really only about my latest Thai Landing experience at the Belvedere Square location. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken with mild spice. It came not only with no spice, but also with virtually no other flavor or seasoning. The noodles were sticky and the chicken was overcooked. I regret not returning it immediately to the kitchen.
No cook or chef should ever let a basic, signature dish like pad Thai be plated and served in this condition. The noodles were so dry I needed to keep drinking water to prevent them from sticking in my mouth. The other items we ordered, including some sushi rolls and the shrimp dumplings, were perfectly fine. In fact, the dumplings happened to be extremely tasty. But seriously, if you're a Thai restaurant, you have one job: get the...
