We were so eager to devour these that the only photo I was able to capture was the remains, reconstructed to show the large size of these pizzas. We ordered 3 different kinds, The Trust, The Dirty Bird, and the Funcle Pie. Each was absolutely phenomenal with such distinct flavors. The Trust was a classic sausage and pepper pizza, the Dirty Bird was deliciously unlike any other buffalo chicken, with a light but rich buffalo flavor and large chunks of chicken thinly sliced to maximize flavor coverage. But it was the mushroom and truffled white sauce on the Funcle that stole the show.
Ordering was quick and painless, the pies were ready in about 10 minutes. However this was at a slower time, so your mileage may vary.
Highly recommend and will certainly be returning.
Update: Have been back and tried some new items as well as our favorites (the Dirty Bird and the Funcle). This time we also tried the Double Double and Old Bay Lemon Butter Wings. The DD was very good but nothing about it screamed “double”. There was a regular amount of cheese and regular amount of pepperoni. If you’re going to call something a Double Double, it should really live up to it. Also, the wings did not survive takeout very well. By the time we brought them home, only 15 minutes later, the breading had become completely soggy. The flavor was there but the texture - not so much. To end on a positive note (because my fiancée and I love this place), the Dirty Bird and Funcle were again absolutely phenomenal. We will keep returning to try out the different menu items but will always stay true to those two...
Read moreThis regular pizza is really terrific, but I gave it a low rating out of disappointment that the restaurant gives the impression it’s friendly to food allergies and issues, when it’s actually unsafe. They have a gluten free crust, but cook it right in the oven without a pan on the same surface that they cook regular pizzas, so it is unsafe for gluten allergies or celiac. They say they use a clean workspace and gloves, but that is pointless given the way it’s cooked. I would love it if they would find a way to put the gf pizza on a dedicated gluten free pan and make their restaurant accessible to all
Note to the owner below: your response doesn’t really answer my point. I did not suggest you have to be a gluten-free environment, which would be ridiculous for a pizza place. Nor does it have anything to do with the square footage. You could cook gluten free pizza on its own pan so it doesn’t come in contact with the oven, and that would work. Having a clean counter is pointless if the oven surface is the same. There are easy ways to accommodate celiac if you...
Read moreGrabbed a couple of pies here recently with The Kid. They had their usual cheese with nothing else, and I had a specialty pie. The counter-person was extremely polite and patient, as I had some difficulty coming to a decisions because all of the specialty pies were catching my eye. The pies came out reasonably quickly and were perfectly cooked- crust was set and toasted at the edges, the cheese melted and not half-baked. Very tasty. Overall, for a quick bite,...
