Betty's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Bangor

I was happy to hear that a Mexican-quality ice cream parlor opened because I just got back from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and the flavors were natural and amazing! From my research, I found that Mexican ice cream is healthier than traditional ice cream made in the USA, less processed, less sugar, and with more natural ingredients. I tasted several flavors before deciding on the strawberry cream, as it was the most similar to the texture that I had in Puerto Vallarta. I had a wonderful fresh strawberry sorbet topped with fresh strawberries. My son had cherry vanilla and oreo cookie icecream topped with fresh diced mango and strawberries. He has been there many times and wanted me to try it today. We sampled mocha, coffee, cherry, horchata, blueberry, and cotton candy ice-cream before making our final selections. Everything was really fantastic. Staff is kind, patient, considerate, and super pleasant. The vibe is great...super cute tables and decor. The whole place is meticulously clean. Would give more than five stars if possible. Absolutely recommended this place and I will go back...

I went here a few days ago with my husband, but waited to write a review to see if in hindsight our feelings changed. Best ice cream place in Bangor area! We tried a mangonada, milkshake, and paleta for later. All were amazing not just for the Bangor area. We are originally from Vegas and frequented Southern California and this place could hang with the best of them. My husband is Mexican and he is so grateful to have a taste of home. The location is a little odd so unless you hear about it from someone else or advertisement, chances are you don’t know it exists. We will definitely be back again...
